PS. We need an electric shock collar on Chris Scott that delivers a shock each time Jack Bowes is sub or doesn’t start in the centre square.

Tom Atkins best game in a long time

Tigers aren’t great, but they have a crack and we just needed to win & we did, 60 point turn around.
I don’t think it’s the opposition that is the problem. Identical problem to Port & GWS game and Tigers aren’t in their league. Very strange, we clicked much better in the second half again.
Bowes, Atkins, Holmes and Dempsey won the match.
Will be good to have Danger and his leadership back.

Credit to the Tigers too, pushed Bombers last week, showing a lot of fight with so many outs, prefer Yze to Dimma, far less punchable face.

Important win and good to see some players played into form, but let’s be honest that was an extremely weak opposition who we made look like millionaires for a half. Hugely worrying signs persist.

A ten goal loss is on the cards this week against a flag contender.

Yep, we struggled to overcome a team thats been gutted by an extensive injury list, and who've consequently only won a single game so far this year.

I had to listen to the game on radio, and it seems it took some words by an 'exasperated' Scott at half time to get the boys interested in playing footy.

Being described as unwilling to get their hands dirty in the first half was damning. That they turned it around in the second half is commendable, and proves that they can do it.......it must be an attitude thing.

Bring the unwillingness to do the hard work against the Swans and we'll get smashed.

Not a fan of our rope-a-dope gameplan?
I love our gameplan. I think our players aren’t up to it.

Midfield is worst in the AFL. Defense is incredibly ordinary, especially our aerial defenders who get out marked and out positioned a lot.

When we get our overlap game going we look good. Close/Stengle/miers/Dempsey overlapping from HB to HF is almost a barometer for our team being switched on.

I have zero trust our midfield is good enough to win against good sides.

My mum always says if I haven't got anything nice to say don't day anything at all...

So for that reason I shan't discuss the first half.

Dempsey, Bruhn, Holmes, Bowes were all good which bodes well for the future. Conway definitely shows signs and we need to persist with him over Stanley. Neale showed some glimpses.

I still have no idea where we will finish by the end of the year. Could be anywhere from 3rd to 10th. Bizarre year.

Never in doubt!
Hard work though- still playing poorly but scrapped the win out.
Kolo -good game. Hope he’s ok. Dempsey, Bowes, Holmes - well done. Still a few guys who need to work harder for longer. Is Miers injured? Can someone on the forward line make a lead?
Well done to the kids- worked their way into it. Took it on. Good to see.
Hope we can put up a fight next week.

Appalled by that performance.

Just as pathetic as the past month… only difference is we played a crap team tonight.

Smashed around the ball for half a game by very ordinary kids and around the contest.

Would have lost that against most sides in the league.

Play that way next week we will lose by 10 goals.

Disagree. First half was putrid, I agree, but out second half would have been competitive against anyone. Sure hands, quick movement through traffic, accurate disposal, and tackles that actually stick- these are encouraging signs.

Holmes, Bruhn, and Bowes were colossal. Dempsey is a real wild card. And how nice is it to finally have a big crash&bash ruckman again, moreover one who wins contested footy and takes marks?

Better second half after a horrific first.

Interesting to note that once the umps began to take even a semblance of fairness we got on top.

Olly Henry being subbed out changed the game.

He's great when we're flying but really needs more strings to his bow.
I don't think we know how to use him and it's killing our structure forward. We kick to him like he's a key forward but he cant out mark key defenders. The balance was much better with Rohan in there both in 2022 and after half time.

I'm an advocate for dropping a tall and playing a resting midfielder. Not to advocate for a specific player too much but I think Knevitt could fit the job description.

They took it up to Essendon last week.

Exciting second half. Tigers played well, and backed up their solid performance the week before against Essendon. They're not nearly as bad as their win-loss ratio suggests.

Looking ahead to the next month, next week is pencilled in as a loss. Essendon and Carlton will be very tough, and unless we improve from the last month, we will drop those two games as well.

For now, I'm happy to sit equal third and enjoy that five-goal win by a very even performance across the board. The young mids really gelled in the second half.

I'm as equally buoyed by Hawkins' game, showing that he's not completely cooked. There's still a bit of life left in thr big fella.

I didn't give him votes and maybe, maybe he could have slotted into a vote, but I didn't mind Bruhns game either.
Kept persisting throughout, didn't use it as well as you'd hope at times but I thought he battled all night.
Well below Bowes and Holmes in terms of midfielders tonight but I still liked his game.

26 possessions.....only a couple behind the others

This team is incapable of playing well until the sting goes out of the contest. Good teams will punish that heavily.

No sugar coating it. Poor performance to take 3 quarters to overrun Richmond's reserves.

Neale showed enough tonight to hold his place. Thought Mullin and O'Connor were quite poor. Crispy Irish potatoes tonight.

Cameron roaming anywhere but the F50 is starting to shit me.nowhere near enough time spent up forward.
