They haven’t been called pathetic for being upset about a loss, it’s about being irrational about it and throwing the baby out with the bath water.

Can’t agree it’s a bit much, this place is currently a cesspit of negativity, I don’t mind someone calling it out when I would describe some of the extreme posts “a bit much”. I have personally held back from posting this past week because the relentless negativity and some irrational posting has been a bit much for me.

You cant really cherry pick the club you want to be then rewrite the history to make the choice better….

Not sure why you got caught up on the club I chose , I was just throwing a choice out there.

I could say would you rather be us or Stkilda the last 15 years then of course us, wasn't going for a Sydney are shit. Just thinking I will take a fall down the ladder if it leads to flags personally.

I'd rather be Hawthorn and Geelong the last 15 years as well, but I don't want to be the Suns

The club on field is in such a limbo right now due to that “performance” on Saturday that there is such a disconnect with the club and its supporters from the lack of anything from the club since the debacle. No public message no nothing officially from the club apart from the good thing$ we are doing off the field.

Only the happy clappers will say nothing is wrong and that they did their best.

I think a lot of us are going to struggle to enjoy next year. I certainly will.

Ironically, I will follow them doggedly if they bottom out, or slump to mid-table.

Where I won't trust them quite so loyally, is if we finish near the top again and look like a chance.

Of course I'll be rootin' for them but at the back of my mind I'll be holding more than a little bit back. Not going to let myself get burned again for a long time.

Ok forget the clubs, personally when I look at success to me it's the flags (rightly or wrongly) I would rather win 2 flags and 13 spoons than finish 3rd 15 times. That's just me, and not saying I dismiss the consistency or what not, I'd rather be somewhere in the middle , I also can see plenty of clubs who would love our record. But we need to strive for flags not finals as the main goal imo .

Not sure I’d take 2 flags and 13 spoons personally. I mean in 15 years we have 1 flag, finished 2nd 4 times, made finals most years and have 0 spoons so it’s not even a relevant comparison.

Because there are a very small amount of clubs more successful than us. Not that many have been better than us.

It’s easy to cherry pick the few that have been better and suggest you’d prefer to be them. Reality is, we’d be towards the top of most other supporters lists who have had far less success.

I'm not happy with many aspects , but i've loved the club for many decades and not going anywhere , but hate the soft##### . after the flag in 05 i said id never go feral again watching us as happy for life , but round 1 in 06 nothing changed .

I think perhaps we have gone slightly too far too it's about consistency and giving yourself a chance and see what happens over premierships are success.

The reality is it's somewhere in the middle. You don't want to be a joke and a rabble .

So I guess I wasn't going for a club v club , more a this team hopefully realises if it naturally has some down time in the pursuit of the ultimate success that's ok

If premierships are the ultimate measure, then we're barely making the Top 8 in terms of our last flag.

I'd rather be us than most, but as long as none of our players or coaches are being absolute f-wits off the field, then premierships vastly outweigh anything else.

Doing better, but still not up there with the big Vic clubs and Crows, Eagles etc in terms of how much additional funding we need.

Not that I think that's the aim, but financially we're mid table.
