B: Smith, Richards, Rampe
HB: Malceski, C Bolton, Barry
C: Hanners, Parker, Jetta
HF: ROK, Franklin, Jack
F: Mol, Hall, Papley
R: Pyke, Kennedy (C), Goodes
Int: Kirk, Heeney, Llyod, McVeigh
Sub: J Bolton
Emg: LRT (Plays GF though), Mills, H Grundy, Kennelly, Gulden
Coach: Longmire

Wanted Jetta as a pure winger, felt dirty not having J Bolton as a starter.
Any side with Jetta is weaker. Taking up a spot is weaker. Think about taking a side on in a grand final. Is he in your team?

Surely Luke Ablett does not make the Whipping Boy Team.

I’m afraid when you’re no more than a fair to solid player being compared to star relatives, whipping is inevitable.

B.Jack & X.Richards also made the team largely due to the family connection.

won more Premierships than Gazsnr. undeniably a decent B Grader and an even better A+ person. Minus the dubious surname he would never have been a whipping boy.

I met him a couple of times through complicated circumstances. How to describe it? His best mate is married to my god daughter.

The Abletts are truly a weird family from the barely sentient god botherers like the two Gazzes through to Geoff who is smart but a rwnj who got into corruption strife to absolute brainiacs like Luke. I met another in Manila who is an erudite economist whose career has involved aid and development projects in Asia and Africa.

Have you overlooked McPointy? Definitely whipped in his early years (and later).

This is a team we all sort of created last year, for our 21st century team (so far)

Sydney
B: Smith, Richards, Roberts-Thompson
HB: McVeigh, C.Bolton, Kennelly
C: Goodes, Jack, Hannebery
HF: Papley, Franklin, Davis
F: O'Loughlin, Hall, O'Keefe
Foll: Ball, Kennedy, Kirk
Int: Parker, Malceski, J.Bolton, Rampe

My question is has the 2024 season changed that? Have Heeney, Warner and Gulden for instance done enough to break into the team?

If that's the team at the end of 23 , then yeah Rampe would start now imo , he is one of our best defenders.

Heeney for Davis without even looking at the rest of the side .

Gulden is a better player than just about every mid there but he is early in his career. I don't know 🤷‍♂️

I feel like Hannebery's spot is under threat too as while he was a very good player, very hard at it, his kicking could let him down sometimes.

Such a tough bastard though.

Probably will get howled down - but Jake Lloyd is a multiple club B&F winner, who has been remarkably consistent for a long time.

The team above tends to be very premiership year biased (and I understand why).

But I’d have Lloyd in over Malceski.

Well if this side wins a flag it will be interesting actually
