The season is a marathon, not a sprint. Carlton were really good after the first quarter. Would love to hear what Voss said at qtr and half time breaks.Deep down though, is carlscum worrying any of you at all. In the dark corners of my mind a thought is pacing up and down wearing out the floor
True, but our win v Geelong in Rd 1 last year was like we set a marker. Just feels like they are finally coming felt like that last yearThe season is a marathon, not a sprint. Carlton were really good after the first quarter. Would love to hear what Voss said at qtr and half time breaks.

Carlton looked like they wanted to control the tempo in the first and Brisbane were the opposite. It just looked like Carlton decided to move the ball on at all costs after quarter time , which resulted in much quicker entries inside 50. Brisbane still looks like it doesn't like playing against teams who take them on and try denying them them the opportunity to move the ball fast themselves. The season is a marathon, not a sprint. He told them the usual, that he would take them to the pub after the game if they wonThe season is a marathon, not a sprint. Carlton were really good after the first quarter. Would love to hear what Voss said at qtr and half time breaks.

When Coleman went off. Game completely changed. My take away. Blues vey susceptible to fast movement from the oppo D50. When the heat was on in first a lot were missing. Don’t think they have enough leg speed and elite kicks to be a top 4 side. They will make finals again. However if they keep getting the ump decisions they will finish top 2.Carlton looked like they wanted to control the tempo in the first and Brisbane were the opposite. Maybe you misunderstood my meaning. I am not saying they were bad (as much as it pains me to admit); they got over the line because they played very well and at crucial moments. But no matter how good a team is, they should not win if they get 46 points down. The Lions, through missed shots and injury, left the door ajar. They never should have lost after a lead like that.I hate carlscum as mush as anyone but saying they got out of jail after being 48 points down against the side that almost nailed us in the Granny at their home fortress is total garbage.
The number of Carlton friends I've see on social media already claiming that '2024 is Carlton's year' is concerning. It's only been one game. I worry for their state of mine if/when the eventual disappointment comes.Carlton fans when Collingwood are going well in June: "Flags aren't won in June"

At least we have the idiots in the crowd playing dress ups to laugh at. How embarrassing
I don't worry about their state of mind if eventual disappointment comes. I just hope disappointment comes. And earlier rather than later. I don't think I could handle them having continued success all year. They're painful enough after one win.The number of Carlton friends I've see on social media already claiming that '2024 is Carlton's year' is concerning. It's only been one game. I honestly don’t give a crap about Carlton supporters.I don't worry about their state of mind if eventual disappointment comes. I just hope disappointment comes. And earlier rather than later. I don't think I could handle them having continued success all year. They're painful enough after one win.
We don’t need gimmicks .Went to the Swans Melbourne game with a Swans supporting friend.
She (like everybody else) was getting into their sing-alongs. I politely refrained. She said at one stage “Ah, I keep forgetting you’re not a Swans supporter, Collingwood don’t do singing?”
I pointed out that the members would riot if the club ever dared contemplate such a thing.

Not really. I enjoy joking about them but don’t give them any real thought. Until we actually play them.Your presence in this thread might indicate otherwise?
