I refuse to sign it.

This reminds me of Jerry and George's argument when they were trying to come up with an idea for their tv pilot and George was using every excuse under the sun not to start, such as which chair he was sitting in and which pen he was using.

As Jerry pointed out, all these factors are "incidental to the actual using of the brain".

We must get over this guernsey hysteria and realise that it is the players, not the cut or colour of the fabric that have brought this pain to bear.

That said, I still want the away guernsey to be ALL RED!!!! No childish blue and yellow streaks ... AAAAALLLL RRRRREEEEEEEDDDD I SAY!!!!! :)

I wouldn't mind that. I think I would much prefer if they wore red shorts with the red jumper. Maybe I should start a petition to burn the white shorts?

mmm, not too sure about the red shorts. Essendon wore red shorts at one stage and they looked shocking

Red shorts with that jumper would probably look worse.

Yeah but that was red with a predominantly black jumper. I do not see what this AFL love affair is with wearing white shorts away all the time.

Sydney wear red shorts all the time, seem to go alright with the tops they have. The red terror is, oddly enough, predominantly red and would probably work ok with red shorts.

Essendon's "clash strip", which consisted of their standard uniform with a wider than usual red sash, together with the red shorts, looked absolutely awful. It WAS, however, distinctive from their usual outfit (which was the original intent).

Yeah thats the one I meant, I only ever saw them wear it once. But that was probably enough. Not really sure why it looked so bad but they just did not match.
As you said Sydney wear red shorts and they look alright with their jumper, maybe it's because the red on their jumper does not touch the shorts.

Adelaide is scheduled to wear its red jumper two more times this season.

Round 20 vs Essendon at TD
Round 21 vs St Kilda at TD

Makes no sense. Why would we be wearing something basically red against teams that wear jumpers with a lot of red in them? Why not the regular away top with the big splash of yellow?

I actually don't think it's the Red jumper that makes us play crap.

It's happened to coincide with us playing a lot at the Telstra Dome when the roof is open. Look at the stats when we play when the roof is shut and we seem to not wear the red and we seem to also win.

So I think it's more the fact that when the roof is shut, there is no wind, etc and our skills are much better as is our goal kicking.

I don't think it's the wind (there is hardly any there because of the height of the grandstands). I think it's the bloody SUN. Players have to run with one hand shading their eyes. Joke. They should ALWAYS close the roof.

Roof open matches that I can recall:

2008 WB (loss)
2007 Hawthorn final (loss) Essendon (loss) Carlton (win)
2006 Richmond (loss)

Roof closed matches:

2007 Collingwood (win) St Kilda (loss)
2006 St Kilda (win) North Melbourne (win) Collingwood (win)
2005 Collingwood (win) WB (loss) St Kilda (win) Richmond (win)
2004 Richmond (win) Collingwood (loss)

Before that, I struggle to remember whether the roof was open or closed. I know it was open the first time we ever played there (win over St Kilda), was open when we lost to St Kilda in 2003, and I think most of the other matches the lid has been on.

I don't know if it's the wind so much with Docklands as the light - it always seems an awful place for visibility when it's sunny - the contrast between the shaded and sunny areas is much worse than the MCG.
