That has won against the premier's
They lost there best player to the pies a top 10 player in the afl. If the blues lost cripps they would get smashed
Huh so the umps and media, pies team are all wrong about beams ? I'm sorry but this is to funny ...
neale has a killer start to the year but to say he is better than beams
Not for me. 1 more week.Thank God school holidays are back tomorrow.
Neale is 4 years younger and without the injury riddles that Beams has. At season’s end last year, I’d say a majority of opposition clubs would take Neale over Beams
Beams was traded for 5 and 25 four years ago. Neale went for 6 and 19 last year. Very similar back then. But Neale is the younger version and is argudbly playing better than beams was back them. Lions got 18 and a future first while he’s 30 years old. That is an awesome price but it’ll end up being two picks around 18. So I even think both Brisbane and Collingwood do f agree with you on the value and comparison to Neale.Thank God school holidays are back tomorrow.
Haven’t they lost their last two by around 10 goals. Right now they’re not winning and with a fully fit list. What happens when injury eventually happens. But to say neale is a better player is laughable. Beams out put last year was top class neale has had a hot month..
Again the point i was making was lions lost a elite mid and plugged in a inside mid yet are still winning that's impressive
Any first year midfielders at Brisbane averaging - 27 disposals a game - Walsh - elite for mid let alone a first year player
Any second year midfielders at Brisbane average 20 disposals a game - Dow probably the equivalent of mccluggage but a year younger is Dow.
Any third year midfielders averaging 22 disposals a game - Fisher and SPS both doing this. Berry and mccluggage average around the same. SPS and fisher are quickly catching and going past them who don’t defend very well.
Nor would I. The kid is going to special. He has Dangerfield like attributes just like paddy has trouble slowing his kicking and brain down in the heat of the battle. Will come good as he goes past 50 games. Mccluggage is also good but I’m not changing that pick at all.Wouldn't trade McCluggage for two Paddy Dows.

bolton certainly not out of the woods yet.Ah yes , classic Carlton fan
Team loses= bolten is shit
Team wins=SOS is amazing
McCluggage's defensive game is under rated including his tackling, IMbiasedO he will be a top 5 mid in the competition by 2021/22, class written all over him.Nor would I. The kid is going to special. Mccluggage needs to learn to tackle.
Absolutely. Totally agree with all that. We’ve got Docherty and Newman now so that covers Simpson. And we’ve got Stocker and Kennedy developing to come in as a mid. Walsh will be our Murphy. He’s already racking up his numbers easily. He’s going to be a superstar. 30+ possies at 80-90% will best Murphy.McCluggage's defensive game is under rated including his tackling, IMbiasedO he will be a top 5 mid in the competition by 2021/22, class written all over him.
For what it's worth I think Carlton have got a great group of young players coming through, with Simpson turning 36 next year and Murphy 33 they need to bring in a couple of good mature age players ah la Lachie Neale to fill the void.
Hopefully the Doc fully recovers and gets back to his best, I was sad to see him leave us, I met him once at a junior coaching clinic in Jimboomba, nice fella to go with it.Absolutely. Like many Carlton fans I wanted Shiel and smith and Rockliff previously but they chose others. We will slowly lose our cap space paying our kids as they get older and I’m not sure we will be able to get a big mid in now. Nor do I think we will need one.
He’s a WA boy so he’s more likely to go home. Fremantle have lost Neale so he could jump straight in. Maybe with Tim Kelly from Geelong wanting back that way makes it hard for both to get across. Could open the door for a vic team with plenty of WA players to entice him (SPS, Fisher, Cripps).Hopefully the Doc fully recovers and gets back to his best, I was sad to see him leave us, I met him once at a junior coaching clinic in Jimboomba, nice fella to go with it.
Maybe you'll make a big play for free agent Stephen Coniglio this off season, I know I'd like us to.
He’s better than beams. Coaches believe this too. Do you see beams anywhere here. Lol.

I could list other stats. Maybe even some SC and AF points by I really can’t be bothered. I’m all about the blues boys at the moment. Not expecting or trying to argue that Beams should be anywhere among the top players or midfielders in the league right now, but in general...
It used to be the AFLPA MVP (until it was de-bunked), and the last few years, the coaches votes have been treated as gospel. How long until we move past these as the be-all, end-all? I'd be disappointed if the coaches really sat down and put lengthy time and thought into their votes, beyond "yeah, that looks about right".
If we look to the coaches straight away as "they don't know what they're doing!" when a team underperforms or loses, why do we treat their opinion on BOG as the unquestionable truth?

Well then you can show me where anyone has been cocky.Carlton finally win a game and get over 100 points for the 1st time in 3 years and they get all cocky...
Yeah of course. It’s much better than people just stating their opinion. Data makes it relevant and hold weight. What can be even worse people using other people’s opinions as evidence to support. Bull shit. It's more just a general comment on how people try to use the coaches votes as an unquestionable "argument ender". Personally, I don't give them a whole lot of creedence, but I guess that's just my opinion.
Stats should really only be used to support or refute an argument or claim, too, not as the main thrust of an argument.
Thank God school holidays are back tomorrow.

Just like 3-2-1 voting systemWell yeah, that's essentially what using the coaches votes (or any voting system) as evidence that a player is better/worse is doing.
