Would make the spectacle even worse.
Not to mention, it's a huge benefit for what will be mostly a lucky shot (with some exceptions obviously - Curry would hit them from there semi regularly).
It was a joke.

The NBA Cup is a joke and nobody cares about it at all. They need to bin that off.I watch Pelicans games here and there but my interest has diminished.
NBA made its regular season meaningless by letting 20 of 30 teams qualify for the postseason, compared with 12/30 in MLB or 14/32 in the NFL (which are arguably too many for them as well). That's why that had to bring in the NBA Cup to try and drum up a modicum of interest. What other professional league has its season's games as part of a Mickey Mouse trophy that nobody cares about? (In before McClelland Trophy)
Think the NFL is spot on really. In such a short season, if only 8 teams made it (as an example), large parts of the league would essentially be playing for draft spots so early in the season.I watch Pelicans games here and there but my interest has diminished.

Reduced threes I wouldDoubt they'll change anything. Even if they did, are people more likely to watch again now if they got rid of the 3 and scores were lower? I'd doubt it. Only speaking on my behalf but that wouldn't make me want to watch anymore than I do now.
How does that make the game better? Will the defences aim up more?Reduced threes I would
more everything else. Have you seen the games this season or highlight video someone just posted? How does that make the game better? Will the defences aim up more?
The spacing would likely be similar, would just mean more mid range 2's being shot.
Seen highlights of various games (no idea which one you're specifically referencing).more everything else. Have you seen the games this season or highlight video someone just posted?
Oh well rebuild. More transition play, post up, more defence, more midrange shots, more physical maybe big guys make a bit of comeback...more 90s ballSeen highlights of various games (no idea which one you're specifically referencing).
How does that promote more everything else? Teams are all built a certain way. They're not all of a sudden going to be great in the post because you take away the corner 3.
Here's one for why Basketball has gone downhill, can you imagine the Knicks playing defense this way in the 90's?

It's too sanitised. Everyone is friendly with each other, they're no storylines or proper rivalries outside of lakers vs celtics (just) and technicals are handed out for nothing. Rules have been adapted to make scoring easier and defence harder for years. This is exactly why it doesn't matter what you do with the 3 point line/shot, until there's a mindset shift defensively, viewing will continue to decrease.
That's just crap. Wouldn't be ok in a preseason game ffs.
Ironically I think the first team that starts playing hard/tough defense is going to end up with a lot of bandwagon support. Seems to be a lot of the overall fan base pining for that to come back. It's too sanitised. Yeah this is a real problem. Saw Lebron lose by like 40 the other day and after the game he's all smiles and doing made up handshakes with Kevin Love after the game and giving Adebayo a hug and shit. Like bro, they just handed you your ass and you're all mates about it.It's too sanitised. Orlando and OKC are the 2 teams that come to mind there.Ironically I think the first team that starts playing hard/tough defense is going to end up with a lot of bandwagon support. Seems to be a lot of the overall fan base pining for that to come back.
If I was a small market team, I'd strongly consider making that move. Make it hard for teams to come to your place etc.
