Bulldogs need a key forward right?
And we want Dylan Shiel?
What if.....

GWS gain:
Ryan Griffen and Pick 27
GWS lose:
Dylan Shiel and Pick 7 (assuming the Carlton deal goes through)

WB gain:
Pick 7, Pick 12 and Tyrone Vickery
WB lose:
Ryan Griffen and Pick 27

Richmond gain:
Dylan Shiel
Richmond lose:
Pick 12 and Tyrone Vickery

If we can get Schoenmakers for a third rounder, I'd be tempted to take it. He isn't as bad a defender as many make him out to be. He would be great as a third tall, but couldn't at Hawthorn because Gibson already played that role. He gets exposed as a Full back on the premier forwards, but combine him with Astbury and Rance, all of whom would be 25 and under, and that is the nucleus of a strong backline for the next 6-7 years.

How about no. Bulldogs massive winners. Tigers and GWS losers. We need to build depth, not eat into it.

If I was the Doggies, instead of getting pick 4 and 7, I'd ask for one of Boyd, Patton or Cameron as well as a first. That way the get a ready to go Key Forward as well.

Instead of 4 and 7, let GWS keep Pick 4, and get 7 and one of Boyd/Patton/Cameron, giving up Griffen and their second rounder.

So we gain Shiel and lose pick 12 & Vickery???
Ummm, no thanks. I think we're shafted in that deal.

What you're saying is the same as what Cam Mooney said. I just though if we were eager enough to get or hands on Shiel we could jump in

I think you're underrating Dylan Shiel. I'd say he's worth a top 5 pick. Vickery alone is probably worth about a pick 10-15 atm on exposed form.

So you're saying you wouldn't swap Picks 12 and 13ish for Pick 4ish?

I'd do that in a heartbeat.
Shiel is worth way more than Pick 12 and we can replace Tyrone.

Doubt I'll happen though, but who knows the trade period has been pretty crazy so far.

Yes fargot , I wouldn't swap 12 & Vickery for Shiel....... Hey, just my opinion....I still think Vickery has a role to play for us.

That's okay mate, you're allowed to have an opinion. I wasn't trying to have a go... I also rate Vickery, I just rate Dylan Shiel a hell of a lot higher and I think we need a player like Shiel more than what we need Vickery with Griff coming on and McBean waiting in the wings

Our second for cooney + doggies 3rd?

Cooney will only leave for a club vying for a premiership like his best mate Lake did especially as his body's on limited time. I could see him going to hawthorn for Schoenmakers & Grimly or something like that

We could help the Dogs facilitate a trade with GWS. M.Wallis hasn't signed yet, right?

We could probably go something like:

Doggies:

In: 7, Boyd/Griffen/Cameron
Out: Griffen, 26

GWS:

In: Griffen, Grimes, Pick 12, 26.
Out: Shiel, Boyd/Patton, Whiley, Pick 40

Richmond:

In: Shiel, Whiley, Pick 40
Out: Grimes, Pick 12, Pick 33

I can see us going after Cooney if Winderlich doesn't work out. He did manage 18 games this year and is 29 years old. We could definitely get him cheap and he could become a Paul Chapman-type for us.
wouldnt be against getting quality in for a few years, finals experience. reminds me of hawks getting burgoyne

Probz essedon wantz it fer windowlicka!!1
I can see Port needing 12 for Ryder.
Depending on who we want with our first I could do pick 12 for 17 and a player.
Which player from Port would fit that bracket.
Cue the Matt White responses.

I don't think GWS would entertain that deal because they'd be losing two best 22 players in Shiel and Boyd/Patton instead of just 1 plus pick 7.
