I think im starting to understand why RFC has been so quite at the beginning of this trade.

With so many players wanting to move out im hoping we are waiting for the dust to settle and then pounce at the other end.

Or take the silent assassin approach. Whilst clubs focus on the bigger names, we get in the ears of talented players like Shiel and try and tempt them across. P

It has to be Vickery. Freo, Dogs, Lions, Saints and Blues would all be interested. He doesn't fit in with Griffiths in the side (who has more flexibility and upside) and is the only player we could get a 1st round pick for (aside from Conca). We can get McKernan as back up for free as well! Same age and same playing style.

Patful will help their defense no end. Good player. Also Griffen nothing needs to be said. Going to be a good midfield with him added into it.

Vickery or Conca for a late 1st pick is a very bad decision IMO. Both players have had down years but doesn't necessarily mean they are worth less to the club in the long run.

Vickery is a player we need unless we are getting heavily compensated. He can work with Griffiths, it is our midfield and small forward line that need to improve to accommodate them. We won't see the best of Vickery until he is 26,27 or 28. We trade him now we give up all the work we put in and another club get a player about to hit his peak.

Cam Mooney said on trade radio that Cooney was open to the possibility of moving because of the success his best mate Lake has had and that moving for the success would be his motive for a trade if he was to move. Carlton said they were never interested just a rumour.
