Trade period isn't meant to be exciting and for the fans.

It's for the benefit of the players.
Definitely, but it's not like they don't get approached during the season and get deals offered to them. Most of the deals just need to be finalised, 10 days seems too much for that.

GWS CEO trolling the pies :D

"But as GWS chief executive David Matthews continues to hold up that deal it has begun to investigate luring him through to their pick 7 in the national draft. The Pies continue be frustrated by Matthews’ determination to play hard ball on a deal others at GWS have effectively ticked off."

Thought Howe was going to GCS but now seems like Collingwood

I just got a great insight into the type of person you are.

You have got to love hawthorn and geelong, they know what they want and they go and get then. There is we are not paying that or no way we want your best player for a second round and you can have our average player for a first round. They know what players are worth and the get them. We sit on our arse and will not pay overs for anyone. You don't need to be Einstein to know we need more inside midfield, big guys at that. Stop mucking around, make a play for somebody or say. We are going to the draft again. Ben lennon wanted to much do we let him walk because our moron coach dropped him for the final.

10 day trade periods equals lots of hits on the AFL website and way for Aussie Rules to hold some focus as we move into the summer sports (according to some dude on the radio...makes sense)

So we pay pick 12 for Yarran and you are sending flowers and thank you cards to our recruiters?

Why couldn't Aish have chosen us? One brisbane fan posted this idea on their board and I thought it was a great trade for us:

If only Aish wanted to go to Richmond! Pick 12 and Astbury for Pick 17 and Aish would be something I'd be happy with, all things considered.

Imagine that? We lose Pick 12 and Astbury and Get Aish and Yarran. I'd jizz.

So you want to lose final 4 in a row. Seriously you can see we we fail, I would take the chance. Maybe we are Tring to get someone else with pick 12. If that's the case then OK, otherwise show some balls.

so much of the hate on here for what Geelong have done this trade period is blinded by jealousy that they've actually got players in. Far too many one-eyed supporters with a lack of brain cells, they wont win the flag but they're certainly not going backwards

Who Geelong, is their grandpa backline going to stop the flood of goals going the other way and as soon as you put the clamps on fatty up front they struggle, no stevie j anymore to make something out of nothing.
Your hate for Geelong is strong. Are you KB?

The club is incompetent to complete the big deals. Aish and Yarran would improve us drastically, but nope.

Geelong hate is only jealousy. Their fans must be ecstatic with their new recruits, well done to them. Good clubs just never stay down for long.

My Geelong hate is not of Jealousy, but of having been raised in a Geelong dominant household and family, and the fact that their fans have a holier than thou attitude, and memory recollections that only go back as far as 2007.
