2024 draft salt mine?BigFooty going to melt hard if they are locked and loaded then. Oppos fans will lose the plot.
I couldnt find that, appears they must have traded some? Could be wrong.GWS did it in both their first two drafts from memory.
I'd be gutted if we gave up picks 6 & 9 for pick 2.Picks : 1-6-9-10-14-20-21-22 would be the best result & not wasting any by trading up to #2 o#3 unless Baker was involved. Hopefully we can get the following;
Fos
Jagga
Ried
Armstrong
Gross
Berry
Faull
This.Im not seeing a Dusty or a Dangerfield not even a JUH , JHF , Reid or even a Dyson Sharp in the top 10 this year and any player could be the best of the draft
Take our picks and dont bother trading up and trust the recruiters to pick the eyes out and build depth
They get paid to pick the best player and we have pick #1 so do the work
Also this.I'd be gutted if we gave up picks 6 & 9 for pick 2.
If you went to the North board with that, i bet they would jump at it, if a side is jumping at it then that means we are getting bent over.
If we're the only buyers - or the only ones with a pick Norf need (6), we hopefully won't have to give them 9, but a later pick.6 + 9 for 2
I get we all think this draft is super even, but maybe the club thinks there are 3 guns to be had, and after that it gets even?
Plus, before we do any trading int next yr, we need to know what the rules around the draft will be.If that’s the case, and I don’t think we have 10 No.3 chances this year & 14 months away is a long time off, then trading up in 2025 would be much more expensive then it will be this year. Logically.
Teams who trade up usually win the deal.
As always, price vs value, but if we want to, happy to assess when we see the deal(s).
Shock, horror: you are.I couldnt find that, appears they must have traded some? Could be wrong.

FOS, Lalor and Draper?I get we all think this draft is super even, but maybe the club thinks there are 3 guns to be had, and after that it gets even?
If we are paying 2 yrs of Rioli's salary, 22 isn't the 2nd pick we are taking in that deal.We start with 1 // 21, 29 // 39, 41 // 49, 58, 65
Brisbane's pick 14 (assuming they lose) is actually going to be pick 16 (after Ashcroft and Lombard bids), so any points discussions should be based on it being pick 16. I know there's other NGA / F/S picks around the 15-30 mark, but let's assume that only those 2 bids get matched. All picks from ~3 onwards get pushed out by 1, and by ~7 onwards by 2.
24 for Graham via FA
7 and 22 for Rioli (with us paying part of 2 years salary)
11, 12, and 17 for Bolton and 22 (with us paying part of 2 years salary)
4 and 26 for Baker, 12, and 31
We then have 1, 4, 7, 11, 17 // 23, 24, 26 // 39, 41 // 49, 58, 65
16 (1067) from Brisbane for 26, 39, 41, 58 (1757). If they can't turn pick 26 into more points from other teams, they should be stripped of a license. Melbourne could easily give them the points they need (have 38, 46, 50)
We then have 1, 4, 7, 11, 16, 17 // 23, 24 // 49, 65
Can trade 23/24 to teams for future 1sts (Melbourne would be top of my list)
Can use 49 (will come in about 5 picks after bid matching) as well as our PSD Pick 1 to trade in fringe players from other teams; Nathan O'Driscoll, Konstanty, Stone, Bond, Fahey, Serong, etc.
Upgrade Bauer with 65
Finish with 1, 4, 7, 11, 16, 17
Plus 2 future 1sts
Plus 2 quality fringe players in the 20-25 age bracket
If true, Morro you can stop stressing about me belting yaHeating the club are really trying hard to work deals out for 2 and 3.
I think that we'd have to pay overs for 2 and for that reason it's a no from me, They'll more than likely take a tall at 2 as they're desperate for KPP's, and the reasoning for them to trade 2 is to get 2 x talls, we're better off keeping those picks and doing what they want to do.If we're the only buyers - or the only ones with a pick Norf need (6), we hopefully won't have to give them 9, but a later pick.
FOS, Lalor and Draper?
**** noF1 for pick 2, get it done
if we don't finish bottom two next year, which with a reduced injury burden is likely, that's a huge win.**** no
Then we finish last again in 2025 and don't have a 1st rounder next year lolF1 for pick 2, get it done
In what world does North accept 6 and 21 for 2? LolPick 2>>>>6 & 21
Pick 3>*>>Baker & 9
1/2/3/10/13/14
**** 2025, this is the draft to go hard in.hell no to trading future picks out. they'll be early rd picks next yr.
Short sighted mate, your intentions are good but our list is shot.**** 2025, this is the draft to go hard in.
