clock is ticking on tassie getting like every decent kid for 5 years when they enter. need to make some cold business decisions right now.
Let you know how it turns out in a few yearsAll for it but the balance has to be right. Can’t get rid of all of our 24-28 players - how’s that turned out for other clubs that have done that

Not too many premiership teams picked up a gun with a late 1st, mid 2nd and rookie pick right as they were peaking and then went **** up a few years after the flags. We are probably the first team with pick 1 and likely another late first rounder and first pick in rd 2 already in the bank with the ability to trade out 3 more players to gain another 5 or so rd 1 picks. It is unique. Normally bottom teams have at best 1 gun player or a couple of late rd 1 level players to traded out. And of course this is shaping as a much stronger than normal draft, we hope.
Dream team coaching panel! Sheedy, Knights, Rutten, Hird, Worsfold & Thompson! Make it happen!!He might be there best coach tbh of recent time

That line is getting a bit old now.Who cares about pain. 3 flags in 4 years we should all be happy to take the pain for 3 or 4 years from here. See you all on the rise from 2028 onwards.
If Bolton wants out really truly, I say we trade him now, while his price is at it's highest also we don't want players around the club that don't want to be there.
But if we had a fit list etc would we truly be in the mix for top 8 anyway? we have percentage of 60. It's time to cash in all the chips and fully commit to the rebuild and next era.Losing all 3 is a disaster regardless of what picks we get. There are busts in every draft.
We won’t be going near the top 8 for a long time
Bolton has frustated me more than excited me this year the last couple of years.I get the feeling whilst it may be his preference, he’s still really happy at Richmond. So unless there is some ridiculous godfather offer we can’t refuse we keep him. He’s 25yo. Elite, match winning players are not easy to find…. There’s a reason teams are willing to give up multiple first round picks to get one!

A lot of change all at once though, it would've been good if Gale had've hung around for the next fews years whilst the transition happens
Not really. Freo are top 4 with one of the youngest lists. It's not like we're making finals in the next few years even if we kept all 3.Losing all 3 is a disaster regardless of what picks we get. There are busts in every draft.

As shit as it sounds hes perfect trade bait, his ceiling is top few players in the league, hes the right age and he's a cream player thats not really going to help us during the rebuild. Great pick return potential. If one of them has to go he's my vote. Next would be Rioli, great player but again a good hbf'er is more a want than a need for a rebuilding team. Again, good pick return. We'll need the hbf to hide the top line kids for a bit anyway. Baker is the exact type you want to keep in a rebuild, standard setter, example of where hard work can get you, tough as nails. Sucks if he goes.Bolton has frustated me more than excited me this year the last couple of years.
If he has another inconsistent year than he will be worth less if he wants out even a lil bit we get best deal for him. that's what I would do anyway who knows what Richmond are thinking.
Players haven't warned to him.what stories?
No doubt we will be in the bottom 4 for the next 2-3 years, but is there much difference between a 3 win season and a 7 win season if the ceiling of the 7 win team is the mid table. By trading them all we can get in the u 21 talent that we desperately lack to super charge the rebuild and work to the timeline of the draftees instead of being half way in trying to please the players entering their primeI think we’d have been bottom 4 even with a fit list, but losing those 3 is a disaster. Who will be around to set the standards etc especially as we will most likely lose Grimes and Dusty too.
If they want to go, we should and will let them go but we are in for a world of hurt
Gameplan wise or personality/connection? And which portion of the list e.g premiership veterans, guys in their prime or the young guys, if you're able to share?Players haven't warned to him.
I don't know what standards bolton sets but I'm sure we have plenty of hard training players remaining. It's basically 3 with value to other clubs going, but leadership can come from any player we don't know, it could be we bring an older player from another club but I think we have plenty of solid citizens. And don't forget some of the top young players set standards maybe even higher than some there alreadyI think we’d have been bottom 4 even with a fit list, but losing those 3 is a disaster. Who will be around to set the standards etc especially as we will most likely lose Grimes and Dusty too.

why have we been playing baker forward and driving his value down ? he has been a spud this seasonCal twomey on gettable speaking as though Shai wants to go back to WA. Interesting & as though Bakes wants out as well? Curious…
DION TO GO ON, YOUNGSTER SET FOR EXTENSION
RICHMOND has a number of decisions to make on its senior players at the end of the season but Dion Prestia looks set to play on in 2025.
The Tigers are facing a fascinating off-season, with out-of-contract gun Liam Baker expected to move west and Daniel Rioli (Gold Coast) and Shai Bolton (Fremantle) also attracting significant interest.

Champion Tiger Dustin Martin has been weighing interest from the Suns, while former co-captain Dylan Grimes is expected to retire after back surgery ruled him out for the rest of the season. Dual premiership wingman Kamdyn McIntosh also remains out of contract.
