They’ll change fixture rules next year and fist our poo dots
'The AFL today announced a change to the fixture rules which now state that any team that has won back to back flags since 2018 can not benefit from dropping down into the middle 6 of the ladder and getting a softer draw. AFL General Manger of Football Operations #shocking said "After nobbling Richmond with the new stand rules as well as fisting them weekly with the umpiring, we've decided to implement a new change to stop them from taking advantage of a softer draw. As such Richmond will not play any side that finished below 5th twice. We're also investigating the possibility of Richmond having to play Geelong in Geelong given they struggled to attract a crowd in the latter part of the season. Finally after a number of complaints about Richmond receiving an easy run by getting long runs of games at the MCG, we have decided that Richmond will play only 11 games at the MCG. There will be 6 home games and then 5 away games against Melbourne Collingwood Essendon Hawthorn & Carlton. Richmonds remaining 5 home games in Victoria will be at Marvel Stadium against Bulldogs Saints North Gold Coast & Port." Hocking could be heard cackling as he walked away after making the announcements.

Just did the projected ladder for the remaining games for the year and had Geelong 4th, Richmond 11th, Stkilda 13th and Gold Coast 16th.

Would give us picks 8, 15, 24, 26, 38 and 44
Did the same with us losing every game just for the sake of it.
Hello pick 4(6).😁
It's been a long time since we had a top 10 draft pick. Bring on the tank.

The issue with just sticking to the draft is that for the most part whoever we draft will be realistically 2 - 3 years away from being able to solidly contribute and make a difference on field plus we are restricted by who is actually available at those picks
Trading for established players let’s us target specifically what we need and players who can slot straight in to make a difference now

If we get the picks right they can definetly have an impact next year, Stephenson completely changed Collingwoods forward line in 2018 for example, Higgins was big for us that year. They don't have to dominate games, just add a bit of spark to the team. Young players come in all the time in their first year and impact results, not all of them will, but if we are using atleast 6 picks, no reason a few of them wont start round 1.

Port had picks 5, 12 and 18 and got Rozee, Butters and Duursma. All mid types.

We have 8, 15, 24 and 26.

Its not alot different.

Even if we are suckers and trade 15 and 26 for Cerra

We get pick 8, Cerra, 24 etc. If Ccj goes it opens things up too (but i hope he stays)

Luv to do a deal with the suns that lands us pick 3.
Pick 8. & CJ involved with swap of 2nd/. 3rd rnd picks.

Let's face it, we need a boost in every part of the ground, with the possible exception of possible of KP forwards.
No, I'd take one of those too.

Watching Cerra, I've seen pretty much every match he's played and seriously Paddy Dow looks a better bet for 2/3 the price (and we have his brother). Dow chopping the Dockers mids to pieces.

Tom Green f***ing dominated the top team today. Cerra looks bang average. Only morons get sucked in by stats.

Cerra having a decent game so far tonight. Halfway through second quarter 11 disposals 6 clearances 6 contested possessions & 3 tackles. Granted it's only Carlton but still showing his capabilities as a midfielder
