The way the team is going we could easily fall into the bottom 6 which will give us say pick 6-14-24-26-41-42.

That's one hell of a draft hand for a team that's been so successful over the last 4 years.

Also a bottom 6 draw for 2022 should see us bounce back, unlike a 'dead cat' bounce.

It would be awesome to hand the AFL a big fu** you after all the equalisation rubbish that we've been dealt with.
Of course we'd be labelled tankers, not exhausted multiple premiers who have been up for a long time. The haters would squeal and the league would change the rules again ! Lol

The "recent premiers can't have more than 1 draft pick in the top 50" rule or some shit.

Think its a perfect storm mate.

Injuries have been a huge factor, now that is not an excuse but a fact. Till the bye rounds we had consistently 10 of our top 22 players out. We still managed however to still win more games then we lost so that was a positive. What's also hurt us is that the past fortnight after getting players back who in my opinion are still under done, we also have hand players injured during games, 4 against the saints and 3 against GCS.

Let me be clear, that is not the only reason why we lost but IMO it has an effect and you asked my opinion.

So we have a playing list who has played a taxing game plan the past 4 years, great success which means an extra 16 weeks of high intensity footy. Add the fact this off season was dramatically shorter then normal and its a longer season, our older boys bodies broke. It's not because dimma has lost the players and other rubbish in my opinion it is the fact our older types have been really exposed with the way the game's changed due to the rule changes, stack on shorter preseason which in turn increases our injury toll and boom we are where we are. Also lets not forget we are an assistant coach short due to the 100k fine. We have not been able to replace Leppa due to it and have had to change our coaches across all lines to compensate.

Is it disaster time ? Yes if you think footy stops this year and never is played again. IMO its not a disaster and may be a blessing in disguise. If we make the 8 great but if we dont we have a fantastic draft hand, we have a few fantastic targets we have identified to bring into the club. We wont have a dramatically shorten pre season like this year, so we can have full conditioning that our list needs and we still, make no mistake have very good players at the club.

I am happy to wager against anyone that we will play at minimum a PF next year. So those writing us off are more hoping so without looking at the big picture.
Brilliant, considered post mate.

Re-signing Bolton is the most important inhouse signature since Dusty. We simply must accommodate for him, whatever it takes.
I wouldn’t lose our heads in negotiation, yep bloody love him, but he’s not worth 800-900 if it gets to that . Pretty sure he’ll stay

What’s Will Gould’s go from Sydney? Has he even debuted yet? We need a Bachar replacement and this guy dominated the SANFL as a kid.

I’ve also done a 180 on Cerra. Get him in. Narkle and Lipinski as well. We need to overhaul our midfield.
We should look over the wb list and cornhole them like we ve been done getting some talent for nix

Prestia was 100% an A grader at the GC and has played some A grade footy at the tigers when his body has allowed.
Hmm he did win a bf in a premiership year , bloody unfortunate he’s just one of those players bit like treloar where bad luck with injury follows them around like shit sticks to a blanket

The Bulldogs will need draft points for Luke Darcy's son who's looking like a top 3 pick.

Something like this will interest them... Plenty to work with.

how does this actuall work,,,,if we give bulldogs pick 26 and 30 they give us pick 17 is that correct ??

Ed Richards interests me , haven’t watched much of lipinski
I rate Lipinski very highly. Forced out of the Dogs side due to injury setbacks and because their midfield depth is ridiculous. A nice size at 190cm. Good user. Clean on the inside and can find space to run and carry on the outside.

Seriously hope we’re interested. Dogs won’t want to lose him. Pretty sure he’s a mad dogs supporter as well so he might be hard to pull out of there but I hope at the very least we are asking the question.
