It's his clean clearances and quality ball use that are the real highlight. The numbers were just to show that he is playing an all around game.

With Bachar being a definite out next week, we are every likelihood to go into the Collingwood game without a single player traded in from another club (excluding Lynch as a FA) in our playing squad. I cannot recall a single time this has occurred to any club in living memory, and a testament to our investment in the draft over the last five or six years. I can only think of Caddy, Nank and Prestia in our best team over the last 5 years too (Griggy was 2010). That's only 3 draft picks traded away in the last six years, only one of which was a 1st rounder.

Compare this to the game last night for example, where Geelong had 8 players that have been traded in and Essendon 7. At the moment the Hawks and Port have 7 each, Freo 5 and Carlton have 9.

Cerra been very impressive tonight. Comes home and becomes more settled would only be a good thing. Will be an elite player imo. Polished user. Would be a great addition to our team
Only 21 as well plenty of growth still to come

Exactly. Get him to a big club, surrounded by Dusty and Cotch etc and he will flourish
He’s had 7 clearances already this game
The most we had on Thursday night was Dusty with 6

Read that Cerra is a Tigers supporter. Tough call between us going after him or Tom Green. Green is amazing. Richmond connections for the both of them.
I think Greens Richmond connection is over stated
Yes, his grandfather was a champion for us but Green is born and bred in Sydney and was a product of the GWS academy system from a young age

Tom Green was amazing for a 19 year old today against one of the best contested teams in the competition. I thought he was the most influential player on the ground in the last Q.
I’d just love this guy in Y&B next year.
Ticks all the boxes
Inside mid,
10 year player ,
potential A grader,
Affordable $$.

Of course 1 slight hiccup- contracted 😡

It's been a long time since we had a top 10 draft pick. Bring on the tank.

First one if we use it since 2010.

Yet you get the impression that half the people here seem almost desperate to get rid of it. That somehow it would be a failed off-season if we were to keep it and our other top thirty picks and go to the draft. To me one of the most distinctive things about our dynasty was how few imports there were from other clubs and how the very few we traded in we didn't pay overs for. Certainly not the multiple draft picks for a single player that some have advocated for.

Again it's a lottery (but what isn't in football), but going in with as many high end draft picks as possible and nailing them is the surest way to create the next tiger dynasty. Would hate to finally have a top 10 pick and then just meekly trade it away.
