This is the AFL media though. I wasn't aware that professional standards and competency were part of their prerequisites.

If they are they've done a remarkable job of hiding it from the rest of us.

If Brad Johnson, Goddard, DalSanto, Montagna, Lloyd, Tony Shaw and Kornes can get a gig then anyone ****en can. Rendell has them all covered.

That’s interesting. BF assured me that Chol was worthless and wouldn’t get on another list…

And scored a fat contract because GC had to match/outbid all the other clubs chasing him.

All the great BF judges who have given him hell be like...

I just don't think there's a world where we don't do all we can to move into the top 2-3 picks for this year with all the picks we have banked up.
**** it, let’s bundle them all up and take picks 2,3 and 7 to the draft

You forgot Cooney

If Chol plays 75 games across the next 4 seasons at the Suns and becomes a consistent performer I'll be happy for him. Unfortunately at Richmond he was just never going to be what we needed him to be.

GOLD Coast and North Melbourne are exploring an innovative trade that would see the Roos acquire the Suns' pick No.19 plus half-forward Darcy Macpherson.

AFL.com.au understands both clubs have been discussing a 'salary dump' which would see the Roos take on the bulk of Macpherson's wage while also offering greater playing opportunities.

The Suns this week received confirmation they would be granted access to pick 19 in this year's NAB AFL Draft and quickly turned to conversations around on-trading the selection.

North Melbourne's salary cap sits among the most flushed for room in the competition, which would allow it to take on Macpherson's wage.

Should the move progress, it would see the Roos armed with three picks inside 20 – No.1, 19 and 20 – at this year's draft.

As part of the transaction, the Roos would likely need to hand over a future selection to the Suns – expected to be a second or third-round pick.

The Suns have been informing clubs they are keen to trade into next year's draft, and by trading out pick 19 this year, would be expected to bolster their stocks for 2022.

A move for Macpherson to Arden Street would also alleviate pressures on the Suns' salary cap, given they have been forced into paying above market rate for re-signing young players in recent years.

So North don't want to give up 20 for CCJ and are now trying to claim 19 off of the Suns.

And that's just the ex-players. The footy "journalists" are every bit as bad.

It appears the no standards necessary rule applies to everyone.

Okay so I was trolling with some of my posts earlier but I know some inside connections re the Curnow side I can’t elaborate on. Let’s just say they are very loyal and not happy re the Teague sh*t. Him coming here could have legs re cap space. It would be a massive get for us. He will be torn though as also mates with Crippa.
The way crippa is playing he’ll be treloared in 12m

Does GC count though?
Sending him to our feeder club to round him out then bring him back when our window opens again.

EAD Mitch Cleary, kept pushing for a third round compo and then started whinging that we were getting any compo because we were also getting Tarrant.

Little-known fact: Bmitch Clearly is the the love child of Barrett and Karen Kornes.

I'm not going to knock the length of the Lynch contract, nor the match committee preferencing he and Jack.

They've both earned it and deserve loyalty.

But to use words like "never" on an unproven hypothetical - that he wouldn't have done comparably well this year and over the next couple as they did/will - is just short sighted, IMO.

There's every chance he'll kick 30+ next year and be looking like exactly what 'we need' down the track. Not to say we won't adequately fill that hole with someone else, but that's not the 'never be what we need' argument you're putting forth.

If they get those 2 picks 19 +20
They will bundle them together for crows first pick
They might have to throw a 3rd rounder in 2022 as well
Which gives crows pick 19 to Sydney for Dawson and keep pick 20
North get 2 picks in top 5,
Very clever for North

How tf did Chol net us the same compo as Brandon Ellis? More proof they shafted us that year
Did we get a better compo pick for Chol than we did when Ellis left?
How has this happened lol didn't Ellis get 5 years at 600k?
Ellis was Tier 3 as a 2nd round pick, but because we won the flag it was still end of 2nd round, so the same as Tier 4 compo
Chol is just straight Tier 4 compo

So North don't want to give up 20 for CCJ and are now trying to claim 19 off of the Suns.
If they get that then hopefully they'll be more open to a downgrade of 20 to 26/28

Infamy don't dislike my posts you campaigner. It was an end of 2nd round....not a 2nd rounder ;)
End of 2nd round is still in the 2nd round, it's certainly not in the 3rd round :D
