I'm not going to knock the length of the Lynch contract, nor the match committee preferencing he and Jack.

They've both earned it and deserve loyalty.

But to use words like "never" on an unproven hypothetical - that he wouldn't have done comparably well this year and over the next couple as they did/will - is just short sighted, IMO.

There's every chance he'll kick 30+ next year and be looking like exactly what 'we need' down the track. Not to say we won't adequately fill that hole with someone else, but that's not the 'never be what we need' argument you're putting forth.

It's not really unproven though, I saw enough of Chol over the last 6 years at both VFL and AFL level to know that he just wouldn't have made it with us, especially once we became a year to year contender. He just doesn't have the mongrel to be a go to KPF like Jack or Tom are or a ruck like Nankervis and Soldo are. But good on him and Ralph for getting paid by the Suns.

Crows may need to split there first pick 4 or 6 depending on daics and Darcy bids,,, for Dawson from Sydney,,they give Sydney one and keep the other just speculation

Thats assuming all their contracts are the same amount every year. They heavily front ended a lot of those while they had massive cap space.
