Maybe but Grimes and tarrant retire? I don't think the club would let Broad leave when our depth is as experienced as it is.

Going to be a hard year. If cotchin. Riewoldt, tarrant and Grimes retire it's 4 draft picks (and we don't have a round 1 pick), so we are replacing with a round 2, 3, 4 and 5. If broad and McIntosh go home maybe a 3rd round pick, so before we even look at delisting we are replacing greats with later round draftees.
Who would pick up kmac? Castagna scenario here. Valuable to us but not to anyone else. Broad is youngish. Retain him.

People are going to be in for a rude awakening when Riewoldt & Cotchin retire the leadership component.
You look at Geelong with Selwood retiring their list improved in the off-season but they lost good leadership.
Grimes imo has gone downhill for the last 3 years & it's no surprise our defense is not as good.
I think Gibcus is going to be a decent defender but he is a 3rd intercept defender with Balta our number 1 we need to recruit a another good defender I would be right into Ben McKay.

Balta looks as confused and lost in the forward 50 as a Homeless man under house arrest and Gibcus being tall and taking one lead out mark is not enough to say he will be a good forward. Gibcus is fast approach Mcbean levels of hype in the forwardline. If he was good enough to play forward, then he would of when he was in the U18s.
We need Himmelberg or some other second mobile forward to take the Riewoldt role in the forward line as Ryan is more of the big Lynch type (though Ryan doesn't look to have the ability or ceiling as Lynch but it is only 4 games in).
What we really need is run and spread across the ground. We have no real speed in the midfield and that is something we need to compliment Hopper and Tarranto.
Naughton is right up there imo.
Why? Tarrant, Cotchin and Riewoldt will all be finished. Grimes looked cooked. Miller and Biggie are average at best. Young looks promising.
Gibcus should take over from Jack as CHF if we were able to snag McKay.
Many reasons lets have a clear look at Ben McKay as a player and as a free agent
- Ben McKay is a player that will attract alot of clubs throwing big $$$ at him and im talking $800k-$1mil range
- His options will be plenty with the added attraction of playing with his brother and possibly winning a flag with his brother
Ben McKay will get killed by the Richmond footy forums
* 26 years old injury prone player getting paid big $$$
This is his 7th year as a AFL player and has only played 52 games and kicked 1 goal

We have to stay on this route now with getting Hopper & Taranto just keep trying like Geelong, I'd be also asking the question of some of Gold Coast players with them struggling do they want to play at a big club even if we're not looking like contenders always have the big club aspect of playing big games in front of the G Round 1, Anzac Eve & Dreamtime. what's Noah Anderson's contract situation? he grew up a Richmond supporter.
Fantasyland! Anderson just re-signed with GCS I think, or he’s about to from media reports, but he won’t leave there imo. Some of the names being touted are really unrealistic imo but who knows, Blair has achieved things I didn’t think we were capable of.

I think the loss was equally felt on field with his contested and clearance value , rarely was below 20p last year , both cotch and jack no longer having that impact , cotch has been pretty solid tho
