Hello Tiger fans!

The embedded resources below are kept up to date by the trade board mods (as much as possible – we are human after all). Enjoy!

tugga you may like to sticky or merge this post, move it to the start of the thread (so the sticky post doesn't rotate if a post is deleted before it), or copy it to your draft thread.

lol what? I said they are in the back of teams that could go anywhere from 5th to 12th. 5th is where they finished 2 years ago with mostly the same list, but older
Except for missing Cerra, Acres, Schultz, Henry, Logue, Tucker, Lobb, Meek and Hamling. 6 or 7 of them which would still be best 22.

While I find RJK's term "knob munching pickle dick" highly amusing and potentially something I might use myself away from here, I'm going to send a blanket reminder to EVERYBODY to address the post, not the poster.
Getting a bit too personal in here.

You trade for Hopper you get Hopper & your instant results tell you if it was worth while as you made that trade for instant results & to bypass the "development" period. We traded for Hopper and finished 13th
No Lynch though. If he got to Geelong (the reigning premiers) and Cameron missed most of the season where do you think Geelong would've finished?

We didn't finish 13th because of Hopper lol!

I normally dismiss talking about walking a player to the PSD as hyperbole. But with Kozi I don't think it's going to be too much of a problem.

A few months ago people would have said he's iffy on being delisted. We show interest in getting him and all of a sudden the Hawks offer him a contract (coincidence?). With the PSD worst case scenario he would be picked up by the Hawks and he gets an equivalent contract to what Richmond are offering (but would Hawks really be willing to give a player a contract they don't want to give to who wanted to leave) . Best case he ends up with us.

Very little chance the interstate teams pick him up.

North could go for him though, but again he will end up with an equivalent contract Richmond were willing to give so no big loss from his perspective.

I'm with you Frank, I say to the Hawks, this is the last chance to get something for him, if you say no then a deal cant be struck and we will have to seek to acquire him in the PSD. Richmond would also speak to his management and tell them we will still pick him up but Hawthorn are being unreasonable.

Time to call their bluff and if they want to sign a disgruntled player who they dont rate for 2 years then so be it.

did we get more for Soldo than Dees got for Grundy?

Its also worth mentioning Kosi's best games this year were when he spent plenty of time in the ruck.

If we can get him back to 2022 levels as a forward and late 2023 as a 2nd ruck, then we have a significant upgrade on all other options on our list

Lol you're pathetic, the only time you praise our player is when it goes against us 😂 guarantee you weren't calling soldo a quality ruck at all throughout his career.
Why is this troll still on our page. You literally live on negativity
Yet a lot of you continue to sucked in by him/her and reply. Simple solution really, do NOT respond to the rubbish being posted

Soldo trade was good, not fussed if Kosi goes through or not. Prefer we hold our ground.
Either way they have no power he is uncontracted. so, they will lose him regardless.
It would be better for them just to do the deal in good faith he isn't worth much, clubs have long memories.

4th rounders are no longer worth what they were used to, they are basically the final 6 picks in the draft now. The draft used to go 80+ back in the day but has not completed a full 4th round for a long time. The compromised draft situation is a lot worse than i originally thought it was. Didnt expect Nth to ne gifted so much, Gresham to be getting 1st round compo's etc.

It came obvious to me that Port REALLY needed Soldo. A Lot. I would say a lot more than we likely need Kosi, which is still quite a bit. With the Kosi deal we are seeing Hawthorn play their best hand to get the best deal. I just would like to see us do that, instead we said they dont have the assets, then within 24 hours of Soldo asking for a trade we accepted a deal.

We got pick 41 & Freo's future 2nd. Its a reasonable result, but not a home run by any means. Would have been interesting to see what other deals were out there & also what Port would have done if we actually stood firm on our OG "assets" claim. And for the record i would likely still take Duursma in a straightswap for Soldo over the package we got. I think he can play and would be a walk-in starter on our Wing. He is also the age we are missing the most on our list.

You’ve said this a few times but it factually inaccurate.

Richmond told Port it didn’t have the assets at the start of the Trade Period. It was also known that Soldo would prefer to get to Port Adelaide but likely hadn’t asked for a trade for that very reason - Port didn’t have the assets.

They then traded their F1 for two seconds. At that stage it was believed to be one for Ratagolea and one for BZT. Which I believe Port offered Geelong and Essendon respectively.

Then the Duursma opportunity arose and suddenly the need for a second round pick for BZT wasn’t required.

Suddenly Port had the assets and Soldo’s camp got more vocal in wanting a trade.

Context is important. Nothing happens in a vacuum.

It tells us nothing new. With early picks sometimes you get Dusty & Selwood, othertimes you get Fiora & Jarryd Oakley Nichols & the teams that pick right win flags while the ones that pick wrong get a boiled potato.

FFS get over it, never seen someone hold onto a grudge as much as you. Hopper this Hopper that wah wah wah Hopper. There is no possible way that you enjoy watching Richmond play football in any form, all you do is complain about the club.

Did I miss Hopper's retirement announcement?
