I think we should be looking at another FWD option until Kreuzer puts on a bit of weight. If we had someone else helping out Fev we would be a lot less predictable.

Caleb Tiller? Jarrad Waite? Mark Austin? Jeff Garlett? Eddie Betts? Chris Yarran?

I think we have enough talent on our existing list capable of playing forward without resorting to paying over the odds for an over 30+ has-been like Hall or Robertson. Or for that matter, a backman like Spangher.

I'd favour instead snaring a tall or two with picks 11 and 27.

Yep, spot on. We do have a lot of developing talent, and they just need time and opportunity. Trading for 30+ year olds is bad for many reasons. I'd be delighted if we don't get any players in trade week, but instead add/improve our draft pick situation. Also hope we free up as many spots as possible for rookie picks. We have a quality list now, and the challenge is to add even more talent, rather than clog up our list with average players from other Clubs. :)

How much time does Fev have to wait around for another big bodied forward to give him a chop out?

Injuries to Waite - who kicked goals and looked dangerous against Collingwood and Fremantle, and not being able to play Kreuzer forward really prevented us from putting our 1st two options up there. Sure, Cloke & Setanta battled away, and both showed glimpses of good form up there.

It's also worth remembering that even without these 2 options for the majority of the season, we were only half a win away from hosting a home final, and with a real possibility of going into the second week.

browne plus one of our picks for spangher...

dont really see why we would want spangher but carlton are def talking about it

I hope not, I wouldn't swap Browne alone for Spangher. Browne has shown some great signs for Carlton, it'd take something better than Spangher to give him up.

I really, really would like to avoid spangher, haven't seen him play but has been described as third man up backmen, which is what Thronton features in so therefore i don't think we need him

I don't know what his contract situation is at Carlton, but I wouldn't mind trading Joel Macdonald, our first round draft pick and a set of steak knives for Andrew Carrazzo.

Carrazzo is a very very good footballer, but it seems you have plenty of younger quality midfield types. Would he ever be considered for a trade?

You know, I'd just about do that deal.

Carrazzo is a good player but is by no means untouchable.

Macdonald isn't nearly as good a player but he is still servicable as a running defender.

What makes it interesting is the first round pick. Being the last uncompromised draft, and a pretty weak draft from all reports, I'd imagine first round picks would be of premium value.

To have 2 consecutive first round picks would be a huge bonus for us and a real opportunity to pick up 2 very good young footballers.

I like Carrazzo a lot but I'd probably do that deal.

Carrazzo is very good IMO, however his status is not untouchable, and i think Carlton may have a serious look at trading him if the right offer came on the table.

To be honest i am not sure whether the Lions would do this deal as they probably need to start reloading on youth given that Brown, Bradshaw, Black etc have only another 2-3 years left to play. They may also be betting on picking up another ready made draftee to try and incorporate in the side to give them one last crack at making the finals before the club legends go

Appears the Blues will be overloading Fish in trade, if possible.

While it's unfortunate for the guy, he may have a deal of worth:

Travis Cloke - 100 games, 117 goals, playing in a team with more success than the Blues with a much sweeter and more regular forward delivery

Fish - 98 games, 126 goals, kicked during our darkest days
