Shane Tuck, Yes or No

IMO we need a big forward and a quality inside midfielder, and maybe one outside midfielder (defence will take time but getting there)
Shane tuck has agreed to trade
yes or no, if yes, what will you be willing ot give, if no, why (and not the "he plays for richmond crap)

Re: Shane Tuck, Yes or No

he will be 28 next eyar and with the style of footy he plays i cant see him paying past 31 or 32.
So how much should we give for an inside midfielder wiht around 3 or 4 season left
our 3rd rounder for their 4th rounder, or just our 4th rounder

Re: Shane Tuck, Yes or No

Have a look at the Hadley--> Lions thread on the Draft & Trading board and see the nong who reckons Hadley+pick 27 is a good deal for Tuck+pick 44.

Re: Shane Tuck, Yes or No

Wouldn't mind having a go at Tuck if the price is right. Think he would be a good fit.
I agree with others and think that I wouldn't want to get rid of anything more than a 4th rounder, which I don't see getting the deal done.

Sam Jacobs included maybe? Never been a fan of trading him but am starting to warm to the idea. Anyone think Richmond would be interested in him

As far as a hypothetical Richard Hadley trade goes;

To St Kilda: Brad Fisher + Carlton's 3rd round pick (43)
To Carlton: pick 33

To Brisbane: Richard Hadley + St Kilda's 2nd rounder
To Carlton: Troy Selwood + Brisbane's 2nd rounder

How about it?

As far as Shane Tuck goes

To Richmond: Jake Edwards + 5th round pick
To Carlton: Shane Tuck

Richmond keep a guy's AFL career alive for another season and get a late pick (probably not used, but who knows with them) for a guy they're going to rid themselves of.

No to Lovett. No to Burgoyne. No to Hall. If you're over 26 next year, you're not welcome to my club.

We need young kids so we have a good 5 year period to win flags. Not one flash in the pan year.

The philosophy should be trading whoever we don't need for draft picks rather than players. Don't need any recycled's or disgruntled footballers or average Weagleland footballers clogging our list. Our list is quality and we need to add quality to improve it further. :)

Why did the idiotic mods or whoever merged all these threads into 1 do this?

Gee let me go back 10 pages to see something which i wanted to talk about, or maybe let me talk about one thing and someone talk about something else the very next post.

Foolish.

I agree nosaints, very confusing and annoying.

Trying to sift through this long thread is proving time consuming and difficult.

I actually enjoy this time of the year and like to read people's gossip and opinions no matter how silly most of it is...It's part of the fun.

Because if we had multiple new threads on the front page, it might push out other crucial threads... like the ones there currently that haven't had a post in them in days.

Besides, it gives all the wannabe-mods and sycophants a chance to post "Search function, n00b!!" and generally tell other posters how stupid they are for daring to create a new thread.

i hear you so very crucial.

hahahaha how true is that, you have summed those freaks up wonderfully.

We have the upper hand despite the fact hes out of contract. Will sign on if no trade is done and has 3 clubs interested which are Carton, Saints and North.

Garlett for Spangher straight swap would be good for both sides IMO. Garlett is surplus given Yarran/Betts

To the few complaining about threads being merged. Maybe if you didn't waste your time bagging the mods for doing their job you would find the time to read through the merged threads. Ironic that isn't it!

Multiple threads will always be merged. It stops the board from being unnecessarily cluttered. Threads of the same topic won't be left opened just for your convenience.

And mod abuse will always be infracted! Tread carefully!
