Be nice if we could get crows compo pick for bling
And a late 2nd for thursfield
Than ontrade our 2 2nd rounders and Bocks compo pick for Sherman and Clarke

So effectively

Lose - bling will and our second rounder
Gain - Clarke and Sherman

That would not happen. I can think of about 14 other clubs that would offer something better to the Lions.

This is a very good player we are talking about. Only 22 as well. We would have to give up something we dont want to to make this happen. Quantity would not get this one done. Must be quality.

To gain picks we need to be dealing with clubs whom assume they are still in their premiership window and who may be losing a couple or who may be looking for the type of player we may be looking to trade .
Nahas or white and bling , plus freo 4th rounder to bulldogs for Everitt and 2nd rounder , probably wishful thinking ??
Thursty and Tuck , yes he had a good year but is our oldest midfielder and currently his currency would be probably as good as it will get , for freo's 2nd and forth rounder !!
Use freo and bulldogs 2nd rounders to get Clark ?

Can people forget about Clark, he wants to go home and as mentioned the Lions are looking at saving money so they aren't going to take on someone like Tambling and/or Foley who would both be on similar money to what Clark is. Which means offering up pick 6 is the only way we would be able to get Clark.

Quite frankly there is no way on Earth I would be giving up pick 6 for a injury plauged ruckman who has basically had 1 good season in 5 years.

how about we keep our picks, leave sherman, houli, grigg and any other average players to the other 16 teams in the comp, and focus on getting a late first round/early second round pick for tambling, and a second round pick for thursfield.

Yes to Sherman (3rd round pick ideal -if not our 2nd for BL 3rd or 4th round pick)

Warming to Grigg (PSD preferable - I really want this trade just to *iss off the scum)

Meh to Veszpremi - don't like the fact that the kid just can't seem to get fit at a club like the swans

NO to Houli - James Tird & the Bummers can keep him

Forget Clark - not worth the concession pain to get him

Thursty - 2nd round pick

Bling - prefer to keep

KEEP PICK 6 - for Heppel

Pretty much sums up my feelings perfectly:thumbsu:
Except for Heppell and the draft, which I admit to knowing not a lot about at this stage.

This is Richmond you're talking about. We can't resist the urge it seems.

What happened to our kicking mantra? Must be out the window. Grigg? Great, more blokes who can't dispose of the football properly and have little footy smarts, just what we need. We need to move away from these types not draft/trade them in because of their low cost.

Richmond typified if we pick him up. He would feel right at home with Jackson and Tuck.

And Thomson and Hislop. I agree.
PSD or nothing.
Sick of getting other club's filth.

The rights of this pick cannot be underestimated and it means more to us than Geelong who need ready made players to replace G Ablett and others to attack 2011 and 2012 before their switch to the rebuild.

I would even consider trading Newie to Geelong to help them to with Milburns decline for draft picks etc...

Magic, i understand your logic, but, i can't work out if your trying to contraversial for the sake of it, or indirectly trolling. Forget the BS and chest thumping of what you are outside in the real world, but alot of your posts are all over the shop, and don't make football smart sense. This aint 1993, and Newman is a hell of lot better than Hoggy. I know you stated you would consider, but Jesus, stop and think.
Story i heard today about Geelong was the board told Bomber to rebuild, he wanted to have one last tilt. Make of that what you will.

CaptainBlood answer this question::

What is the PV of the Geelongs Compo pick in this draft if the draft options are tradeable.

I would argue for Richmond it is equivalent to pick 3 in this draft.

It is not as valuable to Geelong.

I am not talking BS I am sorry if you do not understand. If DH is an accountant he should if he doesn't but I assume he will understand what I am saying!!!!

The question is is the flexibilty of Geelongs midrange round one pick tradeable???

Can anyone answer this??? Has the AFL made a statement on the rights of this draft pick and how tradeable they are or are not????

CaptainBLood , news for you , I am self made, I am the real world, like it or not. Voss is the one associated with questionable trades, get the assessments right please!!!!

I am not all over the shop. 6 years to a premiership. Newie will be 33-too old!

Geelong premiership 2011-2012. Newie still under 30 and replacement for Milburn.

If rights are tradeable for Tigers = pick 10 in 2013 non compromised draft assuming no priorities- am I wrong???? That means pick 10 without the ladder future slump and etcc.....

I say again, If those draft pick rights are tradeable as with Bocks assuming they can use it in future years ie pick 19 in 2013 ( within a 5 year window) Richmond are not serious about wining a premiership.

It is simple as that. An actuary, business analyst of any worth will tell you the same thing regarding the rights of those draft picks rights if tradeable!!

Mr Magic any chance you can learn how to use the quote button at the bottom of posts when you want to reply to other posters comments. Its a pain in the arse trying to work out what you're responding to.

Can someone please tell me.

I am sure it is easy.

Obviously , it is a question of knowledge as opposed to intelligence.

Let me help you by a quick step procedure of what you do to get it right.

No offense bigfooty website, but the help function must not be compatible with my logic

Question , when you do it right can you see the effect yourself as a creator??

I care not for business analysts but any football follower with an ounce of nous, knows that you do not trade out the much loved and respected captain of a young team.

I pressed the quick , because I thought that may have been quick reply.

I see how quote works, when I pressed it thanks.

Why in terminology one would select quote, to get a post embedded and you want to make a short reply , in terms of intuitive communication indicators is beyond me but, if it works , I do not care, thanks again

Boy you post some absolute garbage Magic. At least you're consistent. I can't wait for school holidays to be over. :D

ha.
Actually there is a quote message box to tick when doing a quick reply.

A quick reply just means you dont have smilies and options to change text size and shit like that. Also no preview.
