Why did Wines pick Carlton of Vic clubs?
I would be happy to end trade period with future first rounders from any of Saints, Essendon and Carlton.
He never faces supporters anyway
Looks like he was happy to take the good but too weak to stand up when the club was crying for a leader
Could be a good thing though, Vic clubs might be willing to give 2 first rounders based on not having watched him since 2014

I don’t see how this could possibly happen though? Carlton are probably just trying to **** with us. This seems pretty messed up honestly.
Maybe Carlton are trying to force a trade for unders, but there is no way we would budge.
I’d hope people accept it for the rubbish it is and don’t fall for it, but who knows.
Wines will be here next year and could be a very important player, we must back him in.
Maybe he didn’t think the trade would get done so didn’t bother, but I think it’s just as likely he is committed to Port Adelaide after wavering.

Sorry to intrude, but unless Port really want to see the back of Wines I can't see a deal being struck. Our only relevant currency if Papley gets done is next year's first and considering the length of his contract I can't see that being enough. Keen to hear your thoughts though!
