Collingwood have placed contracted defender James Aish on the trade table as the Magpies look to manage their tight salary cap to clear space ahead of a potentially clutch year of re-signings.

Industry sources have told The Age that courageous backman Aish has been encouraged to find a third AFL club, with the Pies willing to let the former No.7 draft pick go this week despite him being contracted for another 12 months.
He's a flanker, we'll be balls deep.

Sounds like a good news story for the crows.

Noble hasn't been given a contract by Collingwood

Worth a rookie normally. Shame that weve got spuds like Sutcliffe and McKenzie on the list taking up the equivalent list spots

Are the hawks struggling to get the Patton trade done. Why don’t we offer our first rounder for him . bring in the general.

At the price Patton is being sold for the Hawks are getting an epic bargain. Would give pick 29 for him in a heartbeat.

Yep Chad and Doogs are just mercenaries. Poor old Portz! Just innocent bystanders as always.

Maybe the fact that players keep walking out on us because we're playing them out of position is a sign that our coaches don't know what the **** they're doing?

Neither has Snelling, and he passes under Ken's height stick.

Bugger Mead off seems like a future flop. Why waste it when we are clearly missing someone up forward who can kick bags full why are we not throwing it all in for Lukosius. Im sick to death of watching this club go backwards! Ever since we parted with Williams we have been the laughing stock of the AFL and its community. Thanks Primus for being so ****ing shit that you make a flog like Ken look like a 10 year coach!

Yes, later on, after telling him to explore his options. It could have been shut down on day 1. Make, no mistake, the club told him to look elsewhere and that is what he has done. The club has done an extremely poor job of making him feel like a highly valued required player.
Yes, this is the version I choose to believe.

In recent times I have been very pleased with the trading/drafting depertment, but this time I suspect they have stuffed it.

Once Dougal suspected he wasn't being appreciated, and Hinkley was probably involved with Montgomery and Cripps here, he started making his own moves. Not "wrapping your arms around" a young, tall, reasonably competent defender with the capacity for change is a mistake, particularly if not all players are in love with the coach.

Hope he stays.

Aish sounds exactly like the player we should target. Skill, speed, under 25, won’t cost that much and at the least adds to ports wing depth. He’s also isn’t as soft as he used to be.
