I was going by the wording in the afl.com article...

"In summary he can accept a two-match sanction with an early plea."
That isn't a discount. Its not a plea, there is nothing to plea, its an acceptance of the MRO's decision. The work experience kids at AFL Media should read the AFL's rules.

Indeed, but if it was anyone other than Zak I would be concerned. Zak is similar to an energiser bunny, he will be pumped to play finals. He will be close to best on ground!
Like the optimism but he's still a baby it's not ideal leading into a final.

I reckon Ling was pretty much writing character references for Luke Hodge within minutes of him almost decapitating Wingard.

Ling is a piece of sh*t.

No he isn’t..... one flush and you can get rid of a piece of shit. Ling continues to hang around.

Awful timing goes into a final stone cold.

I reckon he can play our practice games. So throw him in the centre and work him hard. I don’t think he’s the type to drop his head.

I don't think he is either but he's a young player basically missing a month of AFL match intensity going into a final.

Why is it just me that thinls 2 weeks is a pile of horse shit. He didn't try and hurt him. He braced for impact and accidentally got hit high. If the other guy wasn't running so fast it wouldnt have had as much impact. Why is butters being punished for the force of the other playee...whoever the hell it was

Warren Tredrea is advocating that Port should challenge it. I don’t think we will, but I guess we will find out tomorrow either way.

Because it has been pretty solid for a few years now- a bump to the head IS reportable and reported. If they get up- it is Low Impact or Medium Impact. If they are out of the game, it's High Impact.

I'm sure if you offer to pay the AFL's liability for damages for all the ex players who will sue for concussion injuries, the AFL will happily return the game to the 1970s head smashing contest that we all loved. If, however, you don't have a spare $500M to meet those damages claims, then you better get used to players being suspended for accidental head high bumps.
