I took on an NDIS client 2 days a week just to keep me off the streets. Unfortunately for me he's a Carlton tragic and he likes to watch all Carlton GF"s, win or lose. He goes back to 1970 onwards because he likes to reminisce about where he lived at the time. I even had to watch the VFL today. I now know more about Carlton than you guys. It's been a battle, I can tell you. He even makes me watch the Escort cup night games. I'm all carltoned out
At least you can have a laugh at Vinnie Cattogio's hair

Dont mind seeing this occasionally
surprise afl GIF
Two premiership Scotty (well, four in total) has had some funny moments, I agree.

Remind us all how good our depth and emerging talent is (don’t look at the VFL ladder)

Maybe our embarrassing draw with an undermanned side against Freo wasn’t that bad after all.

I like it. Got anything I can use for the St Kilda and WB losses? Another 8 points will go a long way on my alternative ladder and I could use some talking points if I'm ever going to get the AFL to agree to using it.

Just tell the AFL that they both cheated in those matches, you don’t know how yet, but it is a work in progress into figuring it out .

Straight from the Trump 2020 stolen election playbook. I haven't been keeping up with the news, but assume it all worked out for him in the end, no reason to think it can't work for us. Make Magpies Top 8 Again!

Hmm Carlton into outright 2nd on the premiership markets

But we aren't 'contenders' according to Fudgey
He is ignoring the thread through his own embarrassing predictions. Won't show himself back here until the pies are back in the top 8, or if Carlton drop a couple.
Fair-weather supporter at best

In the same way that Port Adelaide were second favourites for the flag at the same stage last year, though didn't contend for the flag.

Melbourne flag favourites at this stage in 2022, and didn't even play a Preliminary Final either.

I know Carlton supporters are all desperate for attention and recognition, but let's see if your team actually contends for a flag before you label yourselves 'contenders'.

Ironically, we've spent the past dozen years hearing from the Carlton folk that if a team doesn't win a flag, they're merely a 'participant'...

But the Carlton folk now want to be regarded as a 'contender', before they're actually 'contending'?

Don't the bookies always know best? Strange that it's now irrelevant when they rate Carlton.

Oh looky, looky... another one desperate for recognition.

I guess it's not like Carlton folk to get ahead of themselves...
Not at all. Taking it one week at a time.

Just interested in the double standards, as I seem to remember you quoting odds many times as evidence that Collingwood were superior.

So no one is contending for the Premiership until Grand Final day?

Nope, no double standards.

I've been consistent in my views as to what constitutes a contender.

I've shared my views many times, for example Collingwood not being a contender in 2009 despite finishing top 4, as we were miles off the top 2 teams in that season.

Maybe if you see your team at the pointy end, you'll start to appreciate what constitutes a contender, and what doesn't. And also, why you don't assume the higher rated teams midway through the season will inevitably contend for the premiership.
