How's Mathew Lloyd on footy Classified, Port would need to win at least 1 of the next 4 games for Ken to keep his job you would think, lol.

Noticed that fireman Cornes stayed right out of any Ken talks.

Are these people serious.

So all he has to do is not have a four game losing streak?

Nice one Lloydy you ****ing muppet.

When Ken arrive Freo made a GF, they've bottomed out and sailed around the horn and now look more likely to make a GF than us in the next 5 years. Freo!

Yuk. The last thing I want is the crows sloppy seconds. The power stance in the GF? The camp? Tex as captain? The lack of support for the indigenous players and the gigantic drop in form after their GF appearance. No thanks
If Hinkley did any of that, you would be telling us how good it is.

... The power stance in the GF? The camp? Tex as captain? ...
The Power Stance™ was originally credited as the "brain child" of Ted but once it became the target of widespread ridicule it was attributed to Collective Minds.

The Camp™ was Birdbrain's idea.

Phil Walsh made Ted captain.

Or this doozy....

"the gigantic drop in form after their GF appearance. No thanks".

I suppose a 0-5 start after a prelim final is a slightly smaller fall than after a grand final...

We absolutely could've sacked Ken in 2020

Casey was very much like Hinkley, consistent high regular season finishes and playoff appearances, but never made it to the Finals. The Raptors ownership decided that wasn't good enough, and they sacked him. And the Raptors went on to win their first ever NBA Championship the very next season.

Collingwood have rebuilt an entire premiership team and made a grand final before dropping off and rebuilding under a new coach and are now sitting inside the 8.

Brisbane have sacked Voss, sacked Leppitsch, hired Fagan, on their way to a 4th consecutive top 4 finish after being a basketcase for half Ken's reign.

Sydney have gone from reigning premiers to play in another two grand finals before dropping down and rebuilding and are now back in top 4 contention.

The list just goes on and on.

Meanwhile we are stuck treading water for a decade in a sea of Hinkley mediocrity because apparently we were shit for a couple of years once and he deserves a lifetime contract for saving us from becoming the next Gold Coast SUNS (who btw have now also zoomed ahead of us).

They should do a diabetes test because that sounds like a sugar hit to me.

So the club is paying out Ken approx $2k a day for his role as senior coach.

What value do we get out of his services on a per day/per week/per month basis? Serious question.

I understand a new coach comes in and can pay for himself after a year or two, since they bring in a depth of knowledge which is highly sought after and valuable.

We've seen it with Justin Longmuir, and to a lesser extent McCrae and Voss.

After Ken's first 3 years to implement his coaching nous, how much more is he delivering that the club doesn't already know?

Post 2015 his role as senior coach seems to be a purely symbolic gesture of stability and pride in the club.
