I’ve watched the replay of Lynch’s kick and the arc review about 10 times and I still don’t understand how they could 100% unequivocally decide to overturn the goal umpire who was under the ball. Lynch’s kick spins in towards the goal, but the arc footage was a single still from three different angles with not one of them along the goal line to see at what point the ball travel was knowing if it was already past the goal line or not. Having said that, how the f*** can’t Nank, Tarrant, Vlastuin and Balta simply spoil the ball through for a point at the end and let the ball fall into Danihers lap to kick a goal, at least have one of them on the f***ing goal line!!!

I put Balta down as a dissapointment this year.
Does everyone actually think the AFL will let us win one even if we are good enough? I am really worried about topping up and losing draft picks when our list profile suggests we need a refresh down the bottom like Sydney did for a couple years then trade in your Tarantos. Am I missing the point here?
How does the afl not have a camera that is in lin with the goal posts to see if it was behind the line

Yep for someone with his ability he’s been average.
Hopefully he pushes himself preseason and comes back super fit next season. To me seems to be carrying a few extra pounds.
Balta took it harder then any other player last night. Genuinely beat the shit out of the ground.
I hate losing, but we just blooded 6 first time finals players. Young kids playing under the highest amount of pressure and for the most part, they stood up. I bloody love this football club.

He actually took a couple good intercept marks. We leaked too many goals and would have been blown out of the water in a prelim with battered young kids anyway.
Where the **** is this angle in the score review?
IT would have been used, but not shown the us on the TV. Isn't that what they said the ARC does? They get all the views and angles but only show a couple of TV?
Lynch should have got closer to the man on the mark and then swung around and snapped on his left instead of going the banana

Was a devastating finish to the season. When Prestia went down so did all my hope for a victory. It was the same scenario as the first game of the year against Carlton - Prestia was injuried and our midfield couldn't compete. That was the game in a nutshell.
People would argue that they lost their ruckman too but I would prefer Nank leave the field over Prestia. In terms of structural importance, it goes Lynch then Prestia. Would the Lions have won if Neale was injuried?
So even though we gave ourselves every chance to win, the impact of losing our key midfielder should highlight the utter importance of improving our midfield. If we can't trade in Toranto then we need to invest heavily into the draft to rebuild this crucial section of the ground.

Ross has arrived. MRJnr was outstanding. Sonsie will be a jet. Miller was ok after early nerves, Cumbo played sore, Gibcus was toey. Kids will be alright.

As per season 2022, You just know that something similar is going to occur with a different interpretation and ruling to that applied last night. It is almost like RFC are the oldest child who has to absorb the punishment on behalf of the other siblings. The parents need to be better.

This is what i can’t accept. It’s so arbitrary. Not based on any factual information or evidence, just a hunch from a guy in a booth looking at weird and inconclusive footage. “It appears”. Really? Is that what we’re deciding crucial finals on? I hope it decides this years GF one of these ludicrous decisions. Would this be acceptable in any other sporting code. No way, somehow we have been conditioned to suck it up.
I think your a bit unfair, for the backline. With the ball coming out of the centre so easily, it makes it very tough. Whoever runs the midfield, should get the sack. Possibly Andrew Mc Qualter?I’ll say it again

You need to chill out we won 3, there isnt this big conspiracy to specifically stop us winning flags.
We just weren't good enough this year, we have found some decent kids and we move onwards and upwards next season.

Balta has gone backwards, very disappointing this year though it didn't help that we tried to play in the forward line.
