It’s the way they won it in a canter and spent the last quarter spreading goals among the playing group that was giving me the shits. Old mate Jeremy Cameron did * all in the first half, Robbie Fox was destroying him, then when the game is all done and dusted he kicks a junk time goal and starts doing pretend beer opening/skulling celebrations like he’s the greatest player of all time.

I just don’t like them.
Yep, memories of hawkins running at the goal umpire after hitting the post, unlucky bounces, the toe poke. I’m sorry I take no joy from watching other teams win flags. Some great players out there today, I just wish we had drafted some of them.

Unless we desperately need to dump Hilly’s salary, we get absolutely reamed in that scenario

Thats what I saying though. It’s a salary dump but instead of getting 55 and/or 66 we get 36 instead.

One in from a mate about De Goey.
I know this mate grew up with him and and still speaks to him.

Says he loves the Pies. Was very unhappy when they rescinded the offer after Bali and that Saints have been speaking to him for the majority of his career, keeping tabs on him since he was drafted.

The one thing he said was that De Goey was very happy with the Saints approach, basically told him that he is an adult, and that if he is seeking treatment for his personal issues (ADHD and Anxiety) than they are happy with that and want to help him with the wellness centre in this regard. There are no behavioural clauses in his contract from the Saints.
The Collingwood one had alot apparently

If Clark to Norf is done and done like Norf posters are suggesting, then what are they offering to entice us into trading a contracted player?
Reflecting on Hunter, I think it speaks volumes about his character that he’s requested a trade at this stage of his career. Further, from what I’ve heard from people involved with the club there’s been a lot of questions about his commitment to getting himself into AFL condition. No one doubts his skill and bravery, but he’s got the body of a 15 year old and if you want to get the best out of yourself that won’t cut it.
At the end of the day he’s also requested to go to a club that’s basically irrelevant, in the midst of potentially losing their Messiah coach, because his best mate who he has a surf with plays there. Personally I won’t be losing any sleep over him going, I’m just disappointed we wasted a pick on him.

He hasn't requested a trade though

The only thing we have heard is that saints are open to a trade for the right deal.

There has not been one mention of trades other than a speculative "future second MAY be involved"

Literally, that is it.

In breaking news, Saints have gone cold on the Heeney trade.
Despite coming to terms , Saints are now concerned at Heeney's lack of ability to make a team lift against superior opposition, and consider that he is probably now emotionally scarred.
Besides which, he doesn’t have Hanners’ leadership….
