I feel as though the afl allowing salary dump trades is a slippery slope to allowing teams to trade cap space for draft picks.
I.e. Saints take on 750k of another teams cap space for draft picks alone.
It's a little bit like the luxury tax concessions in the NBA.
Can potentially lead to strong teams staying strong and weak teams staying weak. Hope it doesn't happen

We need to be the first to work out how to exploit the situation for once. Time to get our most ruthless and devious minds on the job.

I'm more intrigued at the fact that his manager is his brother-in-law, and is the only player he manages.

He is a complete amateur.
The guy is literally a fireman who did the AFL Agent accreditation short course (which presumably consists of sitting through half a day of powepoint slides and eating sandwiches).

Collingwood are probably offering jordy a free QC to explain the draft contract to his brother in law as we speak:

It's KC, amateur.

Na I reckon pies will match
If they match it has to be the same offer as ours, ie with no behavioural clauses.

I guess they could do that to save face. At which stage I hope we back away. Only want him as a FA not a trade.

Do the Pies trust DeGoey a little less now that he’s effectively said, no I might be prone to slipping up?
I can’t see how they can put another contract in front of him with fewer clauses.

Stick him in 10, if anyone is going to break the curse it's the mighty De Goey in all his glory.

All hail the 2023 messiah

Wonder who we go after now that De Goey is coming across. Think we still have the money to go for another decent player.
If Joel Selwood retires, sign him up, he can be our Luke Hodge/Isaac Smith 🤭

Gears can get in his ear and stick him in the #14, perfect really.

Selwood, De Goey, Bowes, Grundy and Mitchell. A nice haul, but plenty of time left for more.

Yay we get Degoey with license to behave badly.
Reckon a lot the clauses he’d be rejecting would pretty much stripping him of freedom. Whether you think he deserves a tight leash or not, no one would happy going to work for 5 years with unrealistic restrictions on their life
