What's up with us and the flu?

I think we get the whole AIA centre fumigated and sterilised to make sure no viral bacteria is lingering around causing these illnesses.

I know we have a strict policy about staying away from the club even if you have a slight cold, but we have at least 2 to 3 players a week sick, and unable to train with the group....

Hopefully J Daicos is good to go, if not you would think Bianco gets a call up, just ahead of Allan, eventhough it seems the club is keen to have a look at Allan at some point this season.
Different players brother. Edward can play wing. Bianco more HBF.

Re: Grundy, he wasnt let go, he was pushed out. He didnt hold the club to ransom, we offered a stupid contract. People are making it sound like were were mugged, seriously?

The club admin made a stupid decision, probably caving to a greedy manager.

I think slagging people who leave the club is Carlton behaviour, no need to rewrite what happened.

Suggesting Grundy was lazy or somehow played dead is unbelievable, just a worthless opinion. He played his guts out every game I saw, fit or injured.

Yeah bang on.

It's funny because sounds like a bit of a nothing statement, like "yeah nah focus on positives " etc

With Flys setup it actually means something. We have a clear system and it has been working.

We've had a worse run of injuries than 15 or 16 clubs (I believe Geelong and WC, and possibly the Saints have had more players or more games worth of players unavailable). Some of them are keys like both rucks, or half our defence.

Apparently our forwards are a nightmare to match up because all of them play multiple spots. If Mihocek is getting flogged in the goalsquare he goes to HFF or up to high CHF. Ditto Johnson McStay and Elliot. Johnson and McStay help out the ruck too.

The defence is brilliantly balanced, matching talls and smalls well despite quite a bit of turnover (eg Frampton in, then out to the ruck and so on).

Our system definitely works, let's see if it can cover De Goey. I think aside from Moore he is our most irreplaceable part.

Like I said before if we win this it puts us clear of the rest, and the next real test will be round 19, Port in SA. It's not even July, so let's not get of ourselves of course. Fly wouldn't want that.

It's pure fact that Grundy's form dropped right away after signing that contract.

It was ridiculous at the time and should never have happened. Interesting that Eddie is telling us to give him a round of applause, when it was his regime to gave that contract the tick of approval.

nah, 6 of one half-dozen of the other.

we valued him until we decided to trade him.

we can argue about why, but truth is we did choose to get rid of him.

The Eddie regime valued him as a million dollar man.

Graeme Wright said not on my watch.

Brodie played around a 500k player through 2021, that's on him.

He was rightfully shown the door and we picked up Titch, Bobby, Frammers and Macca.

So you'd like them to be isolated from the public? No one has even missed a game from having a cold symptom. 🙄
I'd like to see them apply PPE gear before running (or in this outfit, strolling) the boundary. Then before coming off the ground, they could be hosed with disinfectant. In the rooms, the crowd of family members, friends and kiddies should be separated from the players behind a perspex screen. With the latter precaution, the hangers on would also avoid being harassed by the roving motor-mouth, Brian Taylor.

Only $25, gotta think of the soft cap

It’s so enjoyable going to the footy and fully expecting to win. No matter who the opposition is. And Pies fans easily outnumber opposition fans, which might be why the Dees trained with our chant ringing in their ears. We all know their fans are not turning up.

Guess what opened this weekend? It’s boringly predictable, but the ski season.
