Gold Coast, Hawthorn and Carlton and no sure things for us the way we're playing. I honestly think we miss.

We are playing fine 10 min lapses against Bris & Rich on a special night for them isn’t bad form , best Sydney recently & they smashed WC I think were going well enough to win those game.

We're not playing fine at all.

Did you watch the Collingwood Adelaide game?

We need to see a change to the forward set up. Every week is seems like defenders are having career best games. It was somewhat understandable in the first few weeks but 16 rounds later and we haven't seemed to do anything to stop it happening each week.
100%
It makes for excruciating viewing, like complete joy-free watching.
There’s got to be another approach worth trying.

I can see Barrass being BOG in this game or McGovern if he returns with how often we kick it to the opposition's best intercept marking defender.

Any interceptor who doesn't have a day out against us should be disappointed with themselves at this point. It's the easiest day out they could have.

Can’t believe I’m saying this but we need some experience to take the heat off our younger players….Cordy.

They do. They are up against it, but still think they are good enough.

They look amazing at times and ordinary at others. They have given themselves a chance at least. The ladder predictor has given them 6th spot and us 10th.
Our wins are against WCE, North, Hawks and Richmond. Losses to Melbourne, Gold Coast, Carlton and Geelong.

We are a game and percentage off 8th spot and equal wins with the Crows in 9th.

Looks about right on current form but we could easily lose a couple of the easy ones and win a couple of harder ones. If we want finals we need to bank wins against the 4 easier sides and win at least one from the loss column. They have us winning in Perth by 35 points. On WCEs current form that would be a bad result but probably about right.

Byrnes & Paton have got to go, they're right off the boil. Maybe rest one of the kids in the VFL to find some footy.

Caminiti & King isn't working so well. Maybe we could try Marshall forward and bring in Campbell, keep Owens out of the ruck.

Would like to see Highmore, Bytel and Ross in.

This 2 goal-half s**t needs the arse, find a better way to goal FFS.
Byrnes needs to stay he'll get better, never a star but a good workhorse. Pato has his ticket stamped already (IMO), Stocker has his spot now and rightfully so.

This is one of those calls that looks right this week but so far this year he's been easily our best ruck when he goes on ball. Last week he was the only one who could direct the ball down to our mids. Brisbane started to body target him knowing this. When it was working it looked genius because you have a gun around the ball in the mids and a tap ruck who directs the taps.

When you get smashed in the midfield, lose and the Ferrari gets beat-up by a bunch of thugs with baseball bats it looks less of a good idea taking it to the shops.

It would be interesting to see Cordy with King because it would force us to move King up the field and see him get involved a bit more.

We need someone who can win the ball at the 60-70m away from goal zone which is why a fit Billings would be helpful. Brisbane dragged Caminiti to that area and won the ball back so easily.

I did question why they didn't have Caminiti to contest in the ruck instead of Owens. Gets Caminiti into the game and he's not to bad at rucking. Really missing Hayes.

Owens is put in the middle with our best midfield set ups when we want to "go" by the look of it. We obviously see him in the group of bests of our inside squad and throw him in when we want impact. He's a victim of being too good. Caminiti is okay as an around the ground ruck against the oppositions second or third ruck. Up against the best rucks he's not going to offer heaps but a chop out for Marshall.

Was Cordy doing a role on these types of guys earlier in the year?

Nah, he was pulling defences out wide but sides hadn't worked out our boundary transition game yet either. We built up to careful inside 50 entries. King is a real weapon in that he can turn a dumped kick into a goal but he also lets the deliverers off the hook and we get lazy. Also midfield drop off means that we have rushed and pressured delivery on top of that.

Stocker made a couple of critical errors I thought and looked like he cost us more than Paton was the funny thing. Paton wasn't anything special and Byrnes looked slower this week though. Stocker looks first picked so safe but wouldn't be surprised to see Lyon move a few pawns around.

What an insane season. Haven't we suffered enough as supporters? 🥵 🤣

Rd 16 coming up

St Kilda 5th

9th Geelong
10th Suns
11thFreo
12th Rich

Sydney v Geelong
Suns v Pies
Dogs v Freo
Lions v Rich

We beat West Coast* and we're likely 1 game ahead of 9th and looking at those games it's Sydney losing at home coming off a 171 point win that would be the non favourite against Geelong.
If Sydney, Pies, Dogs, Lions all win we are 2 games ahead of 9th going into round 17.

*That's if we win against West Coast (surely, surely surely we win that 🤔)

With games against current 10, 17, 16, 15, 12 in the last 8 after that.

Would be the biggest of St Kilda, St Kilda things to miss from there. Would be Hall of Fame worthy.

The anti Bradbury where everyone falls over and yet we stub our toe, glide across the ice, knock ourselves out and be less than 1% short of the line and one of the other dopey bastard teams pick themselves up, concussed, pirouettes and falls over with their arses half a percent ahead of us.

Ya All know it makes sense!

I believe it's more to do with our ball movement. We're getting choked in the midfield and resort to bombing again. Earlier in the season we ran it further up the ground and didn't go the hail Mary for King.
