And he looked sluggish on the weekend.
He had 12 disposals with 12 handballs against Lions.

Not playing guys for the sake of a plane trip smacks of arrogance & that what will beat you in the end.

We have got a 10 day break here at the moment & WC having a 4 hr trip home dragging their tales play your best side available.

Byrnes & Paton have got to go, they're right off the boil. Maybe rest one of the kids in the VFL to find some footy.

Caminiti & King isn't working so well. Maybe we could try Marshall forward and bring in Campbell, keep Owens out of the ruck.

Would like to see Highmore, Bytel and Ross in.

This 2 goal-half shit needs the arse, find a better way to goal FFS.

The same Hawthorn that we lost to?
And I wouldn't be banking on winning up north. Suns are a different beast altogether up at home.

Hell based on our last 2 months form. I count 2 wins there. 3 50/50s

Playing a bloke off a 6 week lay off after 1 game at Sandy smacks of stupidity, specially a player that’s not that good

Just because you lose to a side doesn’t mean it happens every time, if that’s the case results wouldn’t vary look at the season so far

All sides are beatable when playing each other with the exception of WC this season.

Explain how this could ruin his development.
Bad behaviours and constant under performing can bring a young kids mental state into disrepair. I get trying to get him to play back into form but what does a week off hurt his development. I know it's selfish but I'm pinning Saints success to Philipou because I know he's going to be a star. Just a little worried, that's all.

Think you’re overblowing it tbh.
Have a listen to his interview from earlier in the week. Has more balls than the seniors.
His job is to play footy, so play footy.

I've done a ladder predictor with us winning the teams below us but for Geelong Melb Rich and Lions. We finish a game clear on 13 wins of Essendon in 9th on 12 wins.
If we do do not beat GCS WCE Haw North and Carl....we should not nor deserve to play finals.

Gold Coast, Hawthorn and Carlton and no sure things for us the way we're playing. I honestly think we miss.

Well if we don't beat them we should miss as we do not deserve to.

Think getting a fresh Jones Billings and McKenzie into the team over the next few weeks could give us the experience and talent to win a few that were in the balance.

One of our most obvious weak spots which is costing us in a big way lately is that teams are exploiting Hammer’s lack of size and experience, by putting their best defender/interceptor on him, and they’re becoming this huge brick wall getting in the way of us getting it inside 50.

Might be time to bite the bullet and bring Plugger Cordy back in to provide a strong contest against those guys.

With Hammer’s speed and fierce pressure/tackling ability meaning we wouldn’t necessarily be too top heavy if we played both of them and Max, it could be worth seeing how those 3 work together. And get one or both of the former two to do the backup rucking and move Mitch onto the ball much more.

We’re not beating any good teams with the setup we’re rocking at the moment. We’re basically just treading water.

Imagine May or Lever on Hammer next week and McGovern this week. It’s like handing the opposition a big advantage before the game has even begun.

Some how we are still sitting 5th

Big chance to gain a bit of momentum here and get the season back on track

Billings in

Wouldn't be against bringing Cordy in as well. It seems like ever since he was dropped the oppositions best intercept mark has a field day.

Having to put Owens on Harris Andrews as a defensive forward is not ideal

I don't understand why Pou needs a rest.

He needs to be coached to back himself in and kick the ball.... take the game on. Leaving him out isn't the answer imo.
He's been OK the last couple of weeks for a 1st year player, but in general hasn't been that good and looks to be losing confidence imo. Think it might be time to have some time in the guts for Sandy.
