North is debt free, St Kilda are producing positive financial results to pay down their debt. Gold Coast and GWS are the AFL's toys.

None of those clubs is continually drained by a parasitic entity.

We are strengthening our financial position but we're not there yet. And if people walk away from the club we won't get there.

At the end of the day you do what you choose to do.
What will really annoy the crap out of me is if we bomb out of the finals race, and Carlton reaches the grand final. I reckon that would mean 13 opposition teams would have reached the premiership decider since we last played in one.

So once again has everybody in the vic media been told the situation before the paid up members? It was laughable listening to the commentary on Sunday afternoon alluding to it every time.
Because they don’t care about us and know we will not support this, whereas the media will blow smoke up their ass and tell them how good a decision they’ve made.

Hope a handful of angry supporters show up and disrupt the announcement.

I really don't get the Carr hate. The guy is employed in the city where he wants to live. Is not like he has got a lot of options.
Good to see that he's got his work life balance right. Tom Jonas would be thrilled.

He has a few better options besides Adelaide I would have thought.

Josh Carr wants the senior job, I don't think that can be denied. I can see the relationship becoming quite tense, prickly, and destabilising as time passes.
The unstoppable force versus the immovable object. It would be naive to think otherwise.

Lol but seriously, anyone reading through this thread would say this is a bastion of the lunatic fringe.

Those posting outrage at the 2 year appointment are definite candidates for this bastion of a lunatic fringe.

Theres more they are so outraged that they are not attending games, not renewing memberships, not sharing their outrage on bigfooty, divesting football interest and …..

Its a diabolical outrage for sure!

If we aren't a chance, i'm struggling to work out who is.
Our season doesn't start until September 22 or 23. If we don't win that weekend, it's been another wasted year. That's what the idiots that run our club don't understand.

Don't forget, whether we have "membership" or not, only the ten sitting on our board are members. We are customers, and sometimes businesses make changes that send customers elsewhere, often deliberately, as they shift their emphasis.

Sadly I lack the wherewithal to purchase a footy Club, but perhaps 60,000 of us could make a difference.

From memory, it was around $6,000,000 when he parachuted in with the worst over, and it’s around $6,000,000 now.
To play devil's advocate here though, what was the trend when he arrived - if he's arrested a downwards spiral to becoming breakeven (and of recent years chipping back at it), then that could still be a good result - especially when you consider we couldn't possibly have predicted covid.
