The connection of Worpel and Geelong will never go away. If Bowes does not work out and once Duncan and Guthrie retire that would be the time Geelong would strike (if they ever will).

Can someone with medical knowledge shed some light on if this injury? Is something that will have to be managed over the season or if this is a 2-3 months and he is 'good as gold'.

stress fractures take minimum 6 weeks to heal, more likely 8, and then he will need a training block… unlikely to come back round 1. Round 3-4 more likely… And you can’t really ‘manage’ it… more likely you’ll damage it further

Big fan of this. But going to be hard to beat the Swans though. They’ve proven time and again that they are prepared to offer outrageous deals to get a player like this.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see them offer him a 10+ year deal.

Day can still train, pretty sure swimming would be an approved activity as reduces the stress in the water.

Agreed.
Plus the AFL can help out with ambassador payments which would only be offered if he plays in a northern state.
JUH is a nice thought. I do not expect it will happen... but it would be great to be pleasantly surprised!
