Berry over Dowling... what a joke. Perfect chance to give Dowling his debut this week after his awesome game last week and we decide to give Berry another chance after 1 week out of the team. They have obviously pegged Dowling as a back up to Laird and Crouch and have decided he won't play unless one of them is injured.

No idea why we would go back to Berry this quickly though

A 26-27 player squad is determined throughout the preseason. There's the first 23 and then 3-4 that can replace the lower end if form demands. The strategy from there is to get the first 23 in form and bank continuity credits. Only multiple injuries sees a player outside the 27 get into the 23. This has been the strategy for a very long time.
