Smith or Lalor. We need to be in the top 4 draft picks so drop 1 place.

The ladder predictors still have us at 15th. Probably should put a few in for surgery and play bulk kids just in case.

Not all do have us in 15th. Squiggle has us as 14th

If Hawks maintain their form we probably would not finish higher than 14t.h.

To be more likely to finish finish 15th, then yes.

Other clubs may do likewise, including the Lions who while they will not go under us could lose to us at Marvel.

Winning 4 or 5 of our last 9 and remaining in the bottom 6 would be a great result.

Get the high draft pick while winning some games and building some form for next year.

crows have a very tough draw, they could legit finish under us,if they want to it will be easy for them,id get anyone in for surgery that needs it,steele if hes carrying something, then play the kids, managing them with a week or two off and the guys on the borderline like maybe byrnes

When can we say bye bye to the bye. Does anybody know when the boys come back?
A few are in Noosa yeah? saw them having a pot at the surf club:thumbsu:

Adelaide would be very likely to draft Draper whether they finish above or below us so you would think Smith or Lalor would still be on the board at 5. 1. NTH Smilie BRIS ~Ashcroft~ WCE 2. Trainor 3. RICH O'Sullivan 4. ADEL Draper 5. STK Smith &/or Lalor pending compo..

Feel like Trainor doesn't have an obvious home except maybe North but doubt they will use 1 on him.

There’s suggestions North want to trade down or something? Don’t really get it tbh

The arguement is that the top handful of players could go in any order, depending on how clubs rate them.

So if North think they'll get two good players at 5+6 then they might look to trade with us.

Would we do 5 + 6 for 1 + 21 ??

Imo by the looks of this draft, I thought Jagga was our top choice early but he lacks damage which is a bit off-putting. We definitely need two first rounders this year, whether its by letting Battle go or by splitting 5. Getting Lalor without reaching for him would be the perfect result - contested bull, accumulator, kicks goals, powerful and strong overhead - exactly what we need

At least we have their second round draft pick.

We always need two first round draft picks.
Its because we've stuffed up every draft in the 2010's.
We'll need 2 first round draft picks next year.
Also we'll need the players who we want to leave to get an extra first round draft pick.

Its kinda amusing that this rubbish that Jagga doesn’t damage with his possessions has now grown into fact.

Are we basing this on anything other than the brain farts of an armchair BigFooty recruiting ‘expert’?

Compared to the other top end mids, considering his possession counts, it’s pretty obvious Jagga isn’t as damaging as others. Doesn’t mean he’s no good though, if we had picks 5&6 it’d still be him and Lalor for me

Damon Hollow is nowhere near the top and look at this from 21D compared to Jagga’s 32:

He's a ball winner but he's not a high hurt player and I rate him. I think that Lalor is definitely more the prototype of the type of player we need. He's much more grunt but still a bit of something extra.

Absolutely not. Terrible year to have pick one or two. Much better to have multiple top 8 picks. North are going to have to reach down I'd they want their boy Trainor, or start winning some games.

Based on one game… in wet conditions… where one player was unbelievably clean in both hunting the ball & then giving off to team mates in better positions.

Who then pumped the pill inside 50.

This is where stats can be so misleading.

Jagga’s game is based around finding time & space & distributing it to his ball users.

Now that’s a quality I personally think we need more than anything else.

Depends on your definition of hurt though.

I reckon we’ve got grunt… we need class

Think Jagga is going to be one of those guys simmilar to Wilson. With too much footy being played poeple start looking for weaknesses. Just eminds me so much of Walshy,

Horrific trade.

We A) need multiple top line firsts
B) this draft lacks the generational talent at the top. What you will get 1 or 2 will be better than 3-7 as it stands …. But it’s not looking like much.

pick 21?
dont we currently have around 5 and 34 from gws?
gws kept the crows pick and gave us their second?

Other sites have us owning the Crows 2nd.

In this case, we get Pick 21 from North...probs Pick 30 after NGA/FS
