They had about 3 clear cut opportunities to win, letting Merrett waltz out of the square is criminal

Feel like winning a Friday Night game on the road against a big Vic club in the 8 is big for this group, and the younger players development.

Was the biggest stage available to us for the rest of the year.

Rachele being the one to do it too.

McLeod against hawthorn 95 was only one great effort in a disappointing season too …

It was very apparent on TV that ROB, who'd had an awful, fumbling game, decided halfway through the last that he'd really like to win the game. He hitched up his skirts and really put in, becoming a major factor in the win.

Good

Keays bog obviously. One of the best performances of the year.

Fog excellent.

Nank is going to be an incredibly good player. Hope we sign him up long term. What a draft selection that was. So composed. Can turn on a dime. Got thrown onto a key forward and still impacted the game.

Max better game. Took it on. Good late defensively.

Berry pretty good. Had some key moments in the game.

Dowling and Taylor some good plays. Not amazing, but good that they're getting exposure. Stood up in front of goal.

Thought laird had a good game. Cops a lot of hate now so won't get any props. Probably had a lone game in the midfield. No one else really turned up aside from Berry.

TT. Not sure if he just didn't have the fitness, or it's kind of normal for him to go fairly invisible and look like a 5 foot player out there. See how he goes.

Dawson looked like he was playing with concussion even before the head hit. Just looked off all game.

Didn't like Rachele's game before the end. Has some really soft contested moments where he has zero intensity. It's weird cos other times he's fine. Hopefully it's just mental, but it's concerning me for such a high pick.

Soligo? Had some good moments breaking away with the footy early, but fell off big time and was poor towards the end.

Yep. Coming so close only to keep losing time after time last year would've sucked. Getting two big scalps in Carlton and Essendon on their home deck this year has to be worth something. Plus no Walker or Rankine tonight. Next man up, get the job done.
