The funniest bit about these memes is the art does resemble Kenny somewhat and it's actually not a stretch in behaviour given Ken's antics after a win at times.

This line of Ken-apologia is so stupid it is almost easier to believe that Ken, his management and club management are colluding across socials to "flood the zone with " than it is to believe the great mass of AFL followers don't understand the fallacy being presented. Obviously there's no effing bronze medal in AFL... and folks repeatedly reply with the just as obvious "now do premierships and grand finals" rejoinder... but the crap keeps on getting posted.

Based on the post-AGM revelation that the players need to be coddled and told they've been successful after perpetually failing in finals, the club really should look to engage a younger coach who may be able to give some home truths in a way that won't dent the fragile psyches of a group of 19-25 year olds instead of giving zero home truths and solely relying on a Camperdown bumpkin being a father figure/best friend/syndicate owner to maybe get lucky one season.

But they won't because it's the Ken Hinkley Football Club and they don't actually need to be successful (I mean actually successful - premiership successful) while there is no ability for fans and members to hold them accountable for perpetuating this underperformance.

At this point they don't want a new coach coming in and being successful. Even the happy clappers would question why it wasn't done years earlier then. When they eventually decide on going out, they'll ensure they burn the place down as much as possible on the way out, so they aren't shown up by the next regime.

They'll likely say what a nighty job Ken did to put together such a side in the first place, and that it's all due to his tactical acumen.

Truth is you, me or the bloke who cleans the latrines could coach this squad to the top half of the comp. They could probably do that without a coach!

The cattle have always been there - it's just that their collective talent has never been maximised.

Yeah, the club reportedly agreed to re-sign him after the 12 or 13 in a row or whatever it was, but we lost 4 in a row after that

If your first reaction to this picture is "Poor Ken, he's done so well" then you're exactly the type of person we don't need. If it's "this shows how poor we've been in finals" you can stay where you are. The "bronze in this race" thing is insane. It's not the race that matters. You may as well count how many fastest laps an F1 team has. Unless you have the silverware to go with it, it just shows how how much you've failed to capitalise. The fact that this is over a 10 year period with multiple lists only shines a light on the actual problem. It also serves to highlight that we've yet to get any closer to a premiership in those 10 years since 2014.
