Hi mate, your Essendon timeline is very funny. Would you be happy for me to run it on SuperFooty?
Drop me a line at alistair.paton@news.com.au.
Cheers

The Hun has a new blog with updates from intraclub games on potential rookie and bargain picks.

Patto might struggle as a long-term prospect but at least he's a big body we can throw down there, would have been very handy last week against Collingwood.
And as others have said, big blokes usually take more time to come on so there is still hope.
So, moving on from the ETA issue, anyone know...
How bad is Brad Ebert's injury?
I read he was on a managed preparation with a groin problem.
I liked what I saw last year and goalkicking midfielders are SuperCoach gold
No.42 he is.
He was pretty handy in the intra-club game last week and you'd think the coaches will give him a shot this year after two years on the list just to see if he can cut it.
If he's bulked up he must have been an absolute twig last year.
Well, the guys in the white team were calling the bloke in No.3 "Lids" so that's a pretty good indication. Plus he looked exactly like his brother just with slightly darker hair. Plays a bit like him too.
I think Matt is a year older than Brett and, as others have said, a bit more of an inside...
Re: Cousins Stars in Intraclub
Sorry about that, you're right re Rance. Now I can't remember what number Gilligan was, but he wasn't wearing 45 which is his actual number. Regardless, he did a couple of nice things.
Re: Cousins Stars in Intraclub
Pretty sure it was Lids' brother Matt. He's playing for Coburg this year. Can't be certain but he moved exactly like his brother and teammates were calling him "Lids".
Re: Cousins Stars in Intraclub
Which one was he?
Adam Thomson was No.31 for the white side. Played mostly on a wing with blonde/brown shaggy hair. Didn't star but looked pretty handy.
Nice reporting by RAG, a couple of points though:
- Brown did play. He showed beautiful vision in the middle...
If anyone still cares, Lyon's article can be read here:

Agree with True_Thylacene on Voss, that NAB Analyser has to be the worst segment on television. Doesn't tell us anything.
I admired the guy as a...
Cogs was in the OP but no mention of him since. Where is he at? Did he even play for Coburg (firsts or seconds) last weekend?
I'd like to see Rance get a run but the choice would be a straight swap for McGuane and the match committee seems to like McGuane (not sure I agree).
Everyone is into...
THIS was an excellent post. Spot on. Thanks to Top_4_Tiger for the OP and peejay and True_Thylacine for showing that these forums can be about (a) revealing tidbits of information that shed new light on Tiger-related issues, and (b) intelligent discussion, not just a place to bag out players we...
There is one major problem with this whole debate.
Even if you accept all the arguments for tanking (and I have serious problems with those, but others have covered that pretty well), to get the coveted picks 1 and 2 we would not only have to lose to Essendon, West Coast, Freo and Melbourne...
Tivendale has played his last AFL game.
Polak needs to find a position, ditto Shulz.
Pettifer would have to be in trouble, and the same goes for McMahon. Even if Wallace still thinks the trade was the right move, he is clearly out of form.
Bowden did enough to keep his spot ... just.
Thursty is...
BoJangles is spot-on, Kel and Thursty play different roles. Thursty is a good old-fashioned full-back and does it extremely well. Lloyd got away from him a couple of times on Saturday night but he made a couple of beautiful spoils late in the 3rd/early in the last that stopped the Bombers' run...
Any news on Meyer gratefully received!!
Heard he was one of the best for Burgers seconds, surely that means a promotion to Burgers ones this week. Any more details?
Agree no need to change a winning team, unless for match-up reasons, which Plough has shown he is willing to do this year with Polak, Hyde, Jackson.
Thought Hyde was pretty good on Stanton after doing great jobs on Bateman and Montagna (and getting his pants pulled down by Ablett), so he...
Sorry to write off-topic, which is obviously JON, but just thought I'd point out that Garry Lyon's article was in the Herald Sun, not the Age, and it can be found here:

Some posters should read it...
Edwards isn't "listed" as being aboriginal or white or anything else. Clubs don't have to provide the race of each player on their official records - so .... W H O C A R E S ? ? ? ? ?
I can't believe we are having this debate.
What difference does it make?
The indigenous players tend to get...
Not a new face but he is a Dreamtime specialist - kicked the winning point for us two years ago.
Apparently his form has been OK at Coburg but didn't get in the best on Saturday. Did anyone see how he went? Wet weather probably makes it hard to make too much of anyone's form.
Speaking of...
According to 3AW Trent is definitely playing seniors today.
I have been very circumspect and considered and happy for him to develop at Coburg, but now he's in I can't wait to see him in the yellow and black. Go Cotchy! Go Tiges!
Yes, courage is tested all day on the footy field in different ways and yes, Lids did what we expect from every player.
But you just had to listen to Michael Voss on the TV to know how much that one action meant.
It's about respect from your teammates and opponents.
Awesome.
Well done, son...
Why do you think we have a reserves team? Maybe we should just have a senior list of 22 and send the others back to the bush.
This is bizarre. Some kids are ready to play senior footy at 18. Most are not. That applies at ALL teams, not just Richmond, and especially to key-position players. Jack...
Are you serious?
Just because the game plan appears simple - play through the corridor, use our pace to open up space, apply pressure all over the ground - doesn't mean we don't have one.
The players proved against Hawthorn they can follow strict instructions - brilliant coached - and almost...
Bowden is playing forward every week at Coburg so if he comes in it will be to play in the front half. Realistic Tiger has a good point about the bigger bodies, maybe Joel will come in for Edwards. It would be a trade-off of forward pressure versus class and strength. Tough call. More likely...
Not sure where the idea he isn't quick off the mark came from. He maybe isn't Davey quick, but not many are. He just needs the confidence to take on the opposition more often, and that is building, as are his possession tallies.
I wouldn't make too much of the handball stats last week, just...
The Saints copped a bake in the press before the Geelong came and came out firing ... for about a quarter and a half. Not sure what's wrong with them this year - they clearly have the cattle - but I just hope it lasts another week. If they play anything they have for the past few weeks and we do...
