Meek's game is an interesting one to assess.
Was by no means our worst and did some nice things. But I think de Koning beat him in the ruck. Was hoping he'd use his size to intimidate Sam, similar to what big brother did to Sam recently.
Meek has been great on our run of form, one of our...
Can't imagine there will be any sore Cats players tomorrow. Disappointing that Geelong beat us around the ball. The usual suspects bullied us; Duncan, Danger, Atkins, Holmes and Cameron.
We look good when we get it on our terms, but bring some physicality and we can go missing.
Lack of physicality is so disappointing. Danger, Duncan, Holmes, Stewart and Cameron are bullying us sad to say. Number of air swings and not taking the body when trying to spoil and effective handballs mid 'tackle' from cats players is awful.
Great thread. Barrett by a mile. At least King and Montanga try to back up opinions with evidence and analysis, may not agree with it, but better than the vitriolic opinions of Barrett.
Cornes I respect as one of the few independent thinkers in the AFL media. Darcy's lame attempt to take down...
Reading between the lines from his manager Scott Lucas, I think one of the reasons Perryman is considering his options is the appeal of minutes in midfield. Lucas comments in June:
"You probably add that extra layer that Harry was drafted as a midfielder. I think he'd be an extremely talented...
Playing coach at Launceston Football Club and by all reports been successful over a number of years both in terms of winning premierships and developing young talent.
Colby McKercher (2), James Leake (17) and Arie Schoenmaker (62) from 2023 draft all from Launceston Football Club.

Undoubtedly Tilthorpe has talent, bigger question is whether the crows have the culture and coaches to help him maximise it. Can debate whether TT or Dear has more talent or who has shown more in their first year, but I know which environment looks more conducive to helping players reach and...
Should we sneak into the finals we will be making up the numbers if our final is played at night. The AFL in its infinite wisdom has put the Hawks in grave yard timeslots as we play such boring defensive uncompetitive footy (who isn't looking forward to two crows Friday night games as well as...
I wonder if she'll tick off GWS getting an armchair ride with 2 byes vs the hawks playing 13 straight?
Never mind the fact hawks get no prime time games despite playing some entertaining footy. Should we sneak into the 8 can only hope the final is a day game as won't have played a night game...
How good, young hawks side playing 13 straight and get the win despite the GWS franchise coming in fresh off their 2nd bye for the year. Dear looks twice the player of Cadman.
Great to see the underdog minnows with no prime time fixtures, no AFL hand outs and no academy come out on top. AFL...
What a great win.
AFL House will be spewing. Hawks playing some of the most entertaining footy you'll see but no prime time games. Giants fresh off their 2nd bye, young hawks side played 13 straight and still get it done late.
Stick that in ya pipe AFL!
Trajectories of North, Crows and Hawks are pretty clear. North going nowhere, Crows going backwards and Hawks on the rise.
Time to close the thread. Hawks and Eagles... who has the better youth?
Tomorrow I'll rationalise that loss along the lines of:
Not playing finals regardless of the result so prefer a higher draft pick
Good lesson for a young rebuilding team and relatively inexperienced head coach, rather a loss like that now than in a season or two in a big final, hopefully lesson...
Unbelievable, what a win. Most pleasing thing is the attacking game style what a back six we are developing.
One negative though, the last goal put Port to 18th and the Scum up 17th!
To be honest I don't mind King either; however, I think this little prediction probably didn't help his popularity around here..

I take it he started talking the Hawks up sometime after he...
Nah Richmond and Hawthorn overcame adversity to win. Geelong will never do that while led by a coach who squeals when things don't go his way. Hopefully the umps can hang on in the second half to get the cats over the line.
I'm staggered Hawthorn has lost control of the situation to the point they can't even get some media spin out to try and control the narrative. The longer they remain silent the longer the football public and, most significantly, us members, are left wondering who is running the place? What a...
We seriously lack any physical presence. The crows midfield are under no pressure and our tackling is woeful. I'd like to see Hardwick, Worpel and Impey start in the middle and told to hunt the ball and failing that at least make a few crows feel some physical pressure.
While tanking is too strong, I don't think a Hawthorn team would ever set out to lose, there were signs last night the focus was development and learning rather than prioritising the win.
Persisting with McEvoy on Daniher, Ceglar in the ruck, Bruest and Wingard staying forward with no burst in...
