Damian Barrett, Herald Sun - bravo!

Might also be a good idea to email his boss, the editor i presume (?), saying how much we appreciate Damien's journalistic integrity.

    Expansion Some new 'accounting'

This is true however we did participate. Your club drew money from this revenue, as part of all clubs distribution from the AFL, while collecting your wooden spoons and priority picks.

NMFC Board... are they managing decline?

Last i looked the AFL ran the competition, not TV stations. The AFL organises the "rigged" draw with requests from the clubs and the broadcasters. This is obviously done to maximise revenue for the betterment of the competition.

"A Fond Roo Farewell For Macca" *Jennifer Witham* Wed 7 November, 2007

"Simpson said he would remember McIntosh every time the Roos had a win, after becoming accustomed to returning to the rooms to see the club legend instigating the singing of the song. He also said the type of passion shown by McIntosh took years to build up, and would not be as evident should...

    Hello (echo echo)...anyone home?

You're kidding aren't you??!! Do we have to endure a weeks worth of crap, lies etc before we throw some punches? I don't expect a decision just yet but maybe something about the AFL's $7/$10 comment as being crap or asking members to sign up would be nice.

    Hello (echo echo)...anyone home?

I may have missed it but is there any chance someone from the club can lets us know what is going on? The silence from the club is deafening, thank god we have PDR, Denis and WANM to put out a call to arms. Sure as s**t no one from the club has said a thing. Any chance we could respond to the...

    Where's Arch?

"Why is Glenn Archer not on the board already?" Don't want to sound rude but you seem to have a lot of inside info why can't you tell us? The fact that you are asking has me slightly concerned.

Expansion Hypothetical: If a Melb based club relocated to Brisbane back in 1987

Not necessarily true. 1. They wanted Fitzroy and Fottscray to merge. Fail! 2. They wanted Melbourne and Hawthorn to merge. Fail! The AFL has shown in the past that they don't have the nerve when it comes to getting their hands dirty. Hopefully this is no different.

    Rohan Connolly

What a top bloke.I got a reply as well (sorry for the lengthy post): "Hi Rohan, Just a quick note to thankyou for your kind words on 3AW about the North Melbourne Football Club. It was great hearing someone from the media not going along with an obvious AFL agenda, and having an opinion of...

    "Urgent" board meeting now

I hope you guys are on the money...This is The Age's take on the meeting Kangaroos directors have met in Melbourne on Monday amid speculation the AFL club will soon decide whether to move permanently to the Gold Coast. The Kangaroos confirmed a meeting was held on Monday, with a full board...

    Protest 31st October Arden Street

Count me in BL. It is crucial that someone with a "name" gets involved to help spread the word. Can bring the family and a few friends as well.

$$$ Pledge Donations $$$ (was Football Dept)

Put me down for $100. Might i suggest some of the funds be allocated to a consultation with a legal expert in "constitutioinal law" (no Castle or Dennis Denuto jokes please). There might be some legal avenue available to enable members to get a say on relocation? Just a thought.

Roos draft allowances a no-go zone, say Pies

Isn't it ironic that the Collingwood president can call us "North Melbourne" when our own board can't even utter the words. I would also like to know if Head & Carter are negotiating with the AFL with the boards consent. If not surely it is reason for dismissal from the board.

    Rumour....Duff resigns

Maybe JB for Chairman? Could this be the reason he resigned from "The Cage"? Maybe his comments were the first salvo in his push for power? Just a few thoughts.

Are you telling me we don't get membership dollars from the GC? What a frickin disgrace our board is!

    HUGE Board Meeting Today

Anyone know what time it started? Is there any media there which will force someone to answer any questions? Would be nice to get some sort of info if they are indeed talking about the GC/Gemba.

Would it be fair to say if we win this weekend, we will not go to the Gold Coast?

I was of the opinion that the premier got $1 million with some also going to the players. Perhaps runner up gets $250k to $500k? But it has definately gone up.

Would it be fair to say if we win this weekend, we will not go to the Gold Coast?

Don't we get some coin from the AFL for increased prizemoney for making the top 4? If we get to the GF then it increases which would surely help the bottom line. Does anyone know the actual amounts?

    Ideas Now!

Don't know if these has been mentioned before: 1. Free membership to the club to new arrivals from overseas. Nothing more Australian than a bloody Kangaroo. By establishing links with local communities i.e. Sudanese this can be achieved. 2. Allow members the option of buying a parcel of...

    Duff: We'll have best facilities

Great coverage in the Herald Sun today on the redevelopment. Surprise, surprise not a mention in The Age. Wouldn't want the Chief Football Editor to look stupid now would we? Maybe she thinks if she just closes her eyes we might go away.

    It's Official Pagan Sacked

Good to see some people getting my point. I'm not saying Pagan didn't make mistakes because he certainly did and i'm sure he would be man enough to admit he did. I just get disappointed when someone who helped drag our club from the mediocrity of the 80's into the great club it is now is not...

    It's Official Pagan Sacked

Ok, Carey leaving us had an impact on us, then pagan leaving us after that made it even worse. Not to forget the amount of old players were there and the amount of dump we had was shocking. From then Laidley had to start removing players, and players started retiring...

    It's Official Pagan Sacked

Again disagree. Leaving behind 12 of our current 22, who are currently 2nd, 5 years after he has gone is hardly leaving us in a coffin in my opinion.

    It's Official Pagan Sacked

Maybe you should get your facts right son. I'm pretty sure that without going into every players history that of the top of my head that at least Bryan, Deluca and Kenna weren't reclycled. And even Jack the Blind Miner would know that McKernan, who was on that same list, was actually traded to...

    It's Official Pagan Sacked

Can't compare not participating in 1 rookie draft to missing out on 2 National drafts told (after he was appointed) that he had to trade his highest paid (and probably best) player Are you talking about Carey? I'm sure he resigned on the eve of the 2002 season so Laidley would certainly...

    It's Official Pagan Sacked

I know this was addressed to Woodson but as a mad Steelers fan i believe i can help answer that question. The key to the Steelers is stability and principals. They are going into camp with only their 3rd coach in 39 years! They pick the right guy and stick with him (something some AFL clubs...
