  1. The Blue Weirdo

List Mgmt. 2024 List Management 📃

Cooper Lord reputedly has more burst than either George, Kennedy and Carroll, also a strong 2-way runner and great defensively. The recruiter's might have solved part of the future midfield puzzle, along with Billy for some real dash, and Elijah as another outside option. Also have Doc for a...

VFL R10: Carlton vs Northern Bullants, Sunday 2nd June 2:05 PM @ Preston (AFL livestream & 7Plus)

Looking forward to seeing Cooper combining with Carroll through the midfield this week. Interesting to compare what strengths he adds, reputed to have some burst and power. I'm not sure what our future plans are for Carroll, but we really need a couple of depth mids next year.
  3. The Blue Weirdo

List Mgmt. 2024 List Management 📃

An 18 year old KPD is going to take 2 to 3 years to be ahead of Gov and Kemp. A young KPD like Busslinger(out of contract, 2 years of development) would be perfect, probably get him for this years first pick. Low salary, Young isn't going anywhere soon, if we trade in an established KPD then...

Dunno, I'm just looking for opinions, is he out of contract?

Finally a strong looking VFL side, no excuses.

We need a young KPD. Dogs have 10 players listed as KPP's, what pick/or picks would it take to lure Busslinger to Carlton? (this years 1st. plus??) Or, is someone like Trainor in this years draft worth Carlton's 2024 and 2025 first picks?(2 x pick 18 hopefully)
  7. The Blue Weirdo

Game Day Around The Grounds Rounds 11 - 15

Both a couple of pretty handy clearance mids.

He's Gornnn. Frustrated with Dow beating him for clearances and possessions.

VFL R10: Carlton vs Northern Bullants, Sunday 2nd June 2:05 PM @ Preston (AFL livestream & 7Plus)

Sunday is his day of rest. Praying for him to be resurrected next week, but maybe not as that is also a Sunday game.

If we lose SDurdin and Marchy, then we'll need another backup KPD.

Autopsy 2024 Rd 12 Blues power to an impressive interstate win

I thought we played tough, brutal footy in the first 3/4's (TDK and Cincotta played for 4 quarters) against a team that were much better and cleaner with the ball. Expected to lose by a small margin, until we absolutely destroyed them in the final quarter.

Preview 2024 Rd 13 Carlton vs Essendon Sunday 9th June 7:20PM @ MCG

Hypothetically, if Cerra, Martin, Pitto and Mots were all fit and available...who would make way from last nights team? Only 2 changes for me. Cerra > Carroll Martin > Fanta sub. George
  13. The Blue Weirdo

Opinion First Choice Ruck - Pitto vs TDK

We are clearly a more balanced team with TDK/Harry rucking, forward pressure has gone through the ceiling and TDK is just growing into the role. The big question will be if TDK can remain healthy for rest of the season and Pitto only plays a couple of games...and another club shows interest...

Don't worry we'll trade him in after 2 or 3 ball-tearing seasons at * for pick 8 or something.

I think McMahon and Young are comparable. McM's more versatile, but is he a better KPD than Young?(who very few posters here rate)

Hope we are looking more long term and select a younger late developing type player, over expecting instant success. Past picks like Will Hayes and Josh Deluca didn't work out, although Deluca wasn't given a fair crack at it. Cincotta was a shrewd selection.

Do the media that makes up these lists of players each club are thinking of selecting at the MSD really have any idea? I can believe that Twomey and others through months of investigating have a fair idea who is of interest in the National Draft, but the MSD would be hard to pick after the...

If all the AFL recruiters are as cagey as Agresta, then you have to wonder at the accuracy of media predictions in this MSD on Wednesday.

We might have a couple of Irish semi-commitments at the end of the season as well as the Campo's and 1 or 2 draftees and Haywood, who knows? Might just potentially be full, list wise without adding anymore now.

Have we made Michael Rudd conveniently disappear for half a season after signing up the X-Factor marking forward for the VFL side??? Still like young Saad for our first pick though.

Autopsy 2024 Rd 11 Blues eclipse Suns with roof closed

Walsh had 16 handballs yesterday. I don't follow stats, but that would probably be a high number for him. To me it looked like he spent the first half of the game bombing into the F50, attempting the glory goals...then Voss tapped him on the shoulder and suggested there is a handball option that...

Preview 2024 Rd 12 Carlton vs Port Adelaide Thursday 30th May 7:30PM AEST @ Adelaide Oval

  29. The Blue Weirdo

Preview 2024 Rd 12 Carlton vs Port Adelaide Thursday 30th May 7:30PM AEST @ Adelaide Oval

Pitto's been good, but he's only playing mid 60% game time compared to TDK's 78% yesterday. Hope Voss holds his nerve with the single ruck role for a couple more games, our forward line depends on it and the clearance work didn't go backwards as a few predicted.
