G’day.
Congrats on a great win. A shame I didn’t get to watch it.
Is Ross Lyon using a full-time tagger? Who are the best candidates to do the role? Bytel? Windhager when he’s fit?
I only ask because I used to love it when Ryan Crowley would shut down the oppositions best midfielder when he...
Hello.
Sorry to put this here but I thought I’d ask the guys that may know…
Who do you expect to have a better year? Duursma or Bergman
(Yes- it is a fantasy related question for my draft league)
Hey.
I have been really bullish about lachie hansen all pre season (in particular from a DT perspective). I thought he was incredible for the 2nd half of last season when he switched into the backline.
Now I know a whole lot shouldn't be read into afl team sheets these days, but Lachie being...
Interesting. Ive switched to LCHF and feel really good most days. However at my soccer training and matches my legs just seem really heavy and tired. Think ill start to introduce more carbs leading up to the times when I have to play.
What type of dessert would you recommend? Would you have to make it yourself or are they're any store bought dessert that would suffice? I like the lindt 85% but wouldnt want to have that all the time.
Does boiling vegetables in a pot of water have a big effect on their nutritional content (i.e- are nutrients lost into the water)??
Most google searches that I have done indicate that they do, but I was interested in peoples opinions on here. In particular ablett
Because I love having mashed...
I have no idea why people would even bother with afl fantasy anymore- two trades per week?? unlimited changes up until round 2? $10 million salary cap....How boring!
AFL real dream team is where its at!
I'm pretty sure you'll be fine because you fast, but make sure you take them on an empty stomach. I've taken them a few times with food and have felt like shit immediately afterwards and even threw up a few times. Took me a while to realize what the common denominator was.
I also hated the taste of himalayan salt in water every morning, so I bought some gelatine capsules and put the salt in there- I take two every morning which equates to about 1/3 maybe 1/2 a teaspoon.
Every so often I have to fill more capsules which can be a tedious process, but about 10-15...
No havent come across Mondos. Might give it a try if people recommend it.
I get my grass fed steak from Farmer Jacks in woodlands. It has "Economy Grass Fed" on the label so im not sure if it is 100% grass fed or just partly. Still, it is pretty good if you are looking for a low budget option.
I guess im just still getting used to everything. Being a keen soccer player and training in the evening (6.30pm) i find it hard to fathom going most of the day without eating. As i said in another thread i had barely any energy for the first two sessions. Will take time to adjust i think.
What if your a particularly skinny person and fat loss is the last thing on your mind? Is IF necessary or do you have to alter it in someway?
For example I'm not too sure if I should be doing fasted cardio or does it have other benefits?
I know Gary Ablett goes for sweet potato and coconut water before games- http://statigr.am/p/397436852889778597_53527365
Our Ablett has been right all along!
Sorry to be a pain but could you list the brands?
Looking at iHerb there are so many different brands, each with different amounts, fillers, ingredients etc
I wonder how they go during the week in training?
Because I was well aware that for gameday/competition I would introduce more carbs the night before and the morning of. However, training during the week at such low energy levels must be detrimental. Maybe because they are at the elite level...
Im not so sure about this diet for medium to high intensity sport such as foootball/ afl.
Ive been on this diet since the end of last season. Have felt really good most times during the day, even managed to lose a bit of weight I thought wasnt there and i think i have put on a bit of lean...
I am actually quite interested in how you like and cook your steak??
Is well done the way to go or should it be more rare? Or is it purely just a preference thing with no real difference?
Any particular way that you cook yours?
Yeh I am in the same boat. Not really keen on BP coffee. I gave it a good go for a few months but I personally saw more (very minor) negatives over anything beneficial.
For a while I went back to my morning ritual of a few cups of coffee with a bit of milk and coconut sugar but I have since...
I play soccer and I dramatically improved my weaker foot (left) by practising in my backyard with a small sized soccer ball.
Not sure if this would help in afl footy, but I found it definitely helped me.
How do you go about this 4 day fast??
-what do you do in the lead up to the fast (ie, what foods do you eat before, how much)
-what time to you start/ finish
-what do you do upon resuming food (ie, what foods do you consume, how much in first sitting etc)
just really interested as i believe...
