Re: Round 12 trades

Where are you overall this year, and how many trades do you have left?

From what i've seen from you so far this year those top 400 finishes seem like pure luck.

3084 you douche but was 2123 the week before. Was just total bullshit that I fell down that many spots. Oh well.

5 trades left but team is complete. Only rookie on the ground is Heppell.

Have decent bench cover once Callihan starts playing games.

Pure luck that I have finished top 400 twice in a row? Once maybe but backing it up is no fluke Spud Missile. And before you say some smart arse comment like "but look where you are ranked at the moment". Well why don't you just speak to PK Le Spud, all time 2nd overall champion of the world 2 years ago and see where he is ranked overall. I'll give you a hint, it's lower than me. LOL! :D:thumbsu:

Re: Round 12 trades

Is Fisher, Dal Santo, Goddard and Riewoldt in one side viable?

Will they make the 8?

Otherwise who is the best option out of: Priddis, Thompson, Mundy.

I really like Priddis. He has such a good run home and rarely puts in a shocker. I've jumped on this week.

Rioli, Chapman, Pav or Sylvia? Is Rioli likely to get back to the midfield?

Re: Round 12 trades

Hopefully someone can help me here!

I can either upgrade Cotchin to Ablett this week and have only 13k left in the bank with 9 trades left

Cotchin to Priddis and save 70k in kitty, only other WC player is Cox

Midfield - Pendles Watson Mundy Judd Selwood Cotchin

Or upgrade Lower to Fisher/Newman who i already have Roo and Goddard for saints and Lids Cotchin and JRoo for richmond...

Backline - Lids, Adcock, Gibbs, Heppell, Sucking, Goddard, Lower

I know cotchin to ablett/priddis is sort of a sidewards trade but he just lost 30k in his last game and has a break even of around 120 this week..... Might take a while before his price is good again so i can get another top notch midfielder

thoughts please?

Re: Round 12 trades

He hasn't shown any signs of turning it around though has he?? and he has been playing poorly for half the season so why would he turn it around now?

I'm not sure, this trade could seriously kill especially if I go away from the tradition downgrade upgrade. Anyone else think it might be a good idea lol? I'm pretty hesitant

So this is the decision I'm facing, based on help from joxstrap

Knights > didak(and pray) lower > deledio

or

Darling > Howe then Stanley > deledio
Didak is that price for a reason. Stay away. He is not getting near the midfield anymore.

Re: Round 12 trades

Not sure what to do, was ranked 300 odd last week but slipped to 1177 due to making Thompson Captain, Arrg. Learning only 2nd year of SC. Finished 2600 in 1st year.

12 Trades left and 50K. I really want Ablett and was thinking Cotching to Ablett and Toy/Stanley to Howard. Only other players I want are Enright and Sylvia Hmm.

Current team is:

Shaw-Gibbs-Adcock-Goddard-Delidio-Heppel-Puopolo (Stanley, Otten, Toy)

Swan-Pendles-Selwood-Judd-Thompson-Cotchin (Mzungu, Jacobs, Callinan)

N Roo-Chappy-Franklin-Goodes-Pav-Petrie-Krack (Darling, Tappscott, Prestia)

Appreciate the advise

Cheers

Re: Round 12 trades

You having a number of players in doubt, injured or playing in the seconds. I thought that was pretty clear. :confused:

I don't see anything to worry about.

I have 2 playing bench players on the back bench in Pupolo and Jacobs. Toy isn't injured so will come back at some stage.

I have Mzungu and Hibberd on the midfield bench who are playing, Callihan should play in the next 2-3 weeks.

Smith is my playing ruck bench cover.

Lynch is my playing forward bench cover, Richardson has been banging down the door in the 2's and should get another go soon and I.Smith well I don't know what's happened to him but everyone has him anyways.

I reckon the only premium that I have who may not play is Franklin. :eek:

Re: Round 12 trades

My team (which is gunning for cash league glory) currently is:
DEF: Deledio, Goddard, Gibbs, Heppell, Lower, Hibberd, Puopolo / Pedersen, Toy, Gilbee
MID: Pendlebury, Ablett, Mundy, Priddis, Boyd, Swallow / Harris, Mzungu, Jacobs
RUC: Cox, Smith / Sandilands, Keeffe
FWD: Franklin, Pavlich, Fyfe, Goodes, Chapman, Petrie, N. Riewoldt / Darling, Lynch, McKernan
Salary Cap: $124,800
Trades Left: 10

I'm really not sure what to do...I know Darling, Lower & Harris are all set to slide in price and Swallow has a fairly high BE.

I'm thinking I'm going to keep Darling as my FWD bench cover and am planning to get Lower and Harris out of my team. I was thinking of downgrading Harris (Callinan?) and upgrading Toy (Newman?) but I'm wondering if maby I should do Lower->Newman with the intention to do Heppell->Fisher and Toy-Shaw later? I don't know...not really sure what to do anymore.

Just looking for some help from you guys :)
Rid yourself of Gilbee would be my first move.
Really? Don't think he'll come good and make it into the side?
If I did that, I guess I'd be looking at...
L. Gilbee -> C. Enright
N. Lower -> C. Newman

Next Round:
D. Swallow -> I. Callinan
J. Toy -> H. Shaw

Then:
Z. Smith -> J. Tippet
D. Harris -> D. Swan

Finally:
D. Heppell -> S. Fisher

3 Trades & $84,500 left.

Sound about right? :confused:

Re: Round 12 trades

Need forward line cover, so Tapscott or Matera > Didak

Anybody know who is out longer?

Was thinking of trading Swan out but didn't see the point when I only have 10 trades left and I would probably just bring him back in anyway.

Re: Round 12 trades

Mids. Judd, Kennedy, Pendlebury, Selwood, Goodes, Harris.
Bench is Libba, Jacobs, Isles.

What are your thoughts on - trade Libba to Chapman, then swap with Krak next week, trade Krak to premium mid. Any ideas?

Re: Round 12 trades

So who should I downgrade?

DEF: Lower, L.Thompson, Pederson, Duigan

MIDS: Liberatore, Harris, Hibberd, B.Jacobs

FOR: Krakouer, Higgins, Darling, Tapscott, Matera.

Am trying to upgrade one of my forwards to a premium.

Each position has some viable options, who would be the best options:

DEF: Strauss (ave. 70), Nicholson (35), Howard (44), Simpkin (61)

MIDS: Ledger (ave. 26), Russell (43)

An interesting option is Callinan, a forward/mid rookie who seems to be a warming favorite for many, supposedly getting a game when he is fit, could I pick a player in advance?

Re: Round 12 trades

Thinking I'll go:

Toy > Howard
Conca > Goodes (who will swap with Callinan to come into the forwards)

giving me a team of

Fisher, Deledio, Shaw, Goddard, Gibbs, Heppell, Puopolo (Jacobs, Howard, Delaney)

Ablett, Swan, Thompson, Judd, Selwood, Bolton (Harris, Hibberd, Callinan)

Cox, Smith (Sandilands, McCulloch)

Franklin, Pavlich, Goodes, Petrie, N Roo, Yarran, J Roo (Darling, Lynch, Mzungu)

Possibly trade out Darling next week for Howe (pending his performance) for some extra cash, then I really only need to get one more premium defender (thinking Enright) and perhaps bolster my forward line a little (eg. Yarran to Sylvia in a couple of weeks) for a completed side.

EDIT: Alternatively I could trade Darling to Howe now and upgrade Toy straight to Enright. That would give me 180k, ie. enough to upgrade Conca to Sylvia in a week or two - Conca may drop a little but Sylvia should drop more. Leaves me with better defensive bench cover than option 1 and I'd hopefully still have enough money (50k or so) to upgrade Yarran down the track. Thoughts on which is the better option?

Re: Round 12 trades

Just traded Danny Stanley for Howard. Stewing over my midfield upgrade until lockout. Probably Harris to Mitchell, but all viable options up to 495k will be considered.

Firstly, no need for the douche comment. Secondly, I saw your team earlier in this thread, glad you posted it.

You should realistically be expecting to slide further down the rankings in the coming weeks. Obviously the byes have made this game a bit complex for some because I certainly don't see much bench cover in your side. Maybe 2012 will be your year again.. :eek:

Most of 300 point head you have on the person currently ranked 10,000th will be gone next round. I just hope for your sake that you aren't in any cash leagues.

You are a douche though and speak alot of shit. :rolleyes:

For the billionth time there's nothing wrong with my bench cover. Are you trying to say that everyone has 3 playing players on backs, mids and forward benches? NFI! :rolleyes::rolleyes:

Puopolo and Jacobs = Backline bench cover (Toy should come back at some stage)

Mzungu and Hibberd = Midfield bench cover (I.Smith. Not sure where he is)

Smith = Ruck bench cover

Lynch = Forward line bench cover (Callihan will play in the next 2-3 weeks IMO) Richardson not far off getting another go aswell.

I reckon that's about as good as what anyone's bench is at the moment Spud Missile. :rolleyes:

Re: Round 12 trades

Judd_Magic, you are a cracker. :D

Anyway, my trades done and dusted as is my team unless any injuries occour.

Stanley > Fisher
Darling > Pavlich

D: Fisher, Gibbs, Goddard, Enright, Adcock, Deledio, Heppell - (Puopolo, Toy, Jacobs)
M: Swan, Pendlebury, Judd, Selwood, Mundy, Boyd - (Hibberd, Iles, Mzungu)
R: Cox, Smith - (Bailey, Tippett)
F: Chapman, Franklin, Goodes, J.Riewoldt, N.Riewoldt, Rioli, Pavlich - (Petrie, Lynch, Richardson)

Will be getting Sandi back in for Smith in 1 trade after Freo's bye. Petrie is my insurance really. Might be silly in a way, but he's no different to how a lot of people are using Didak at the minute except i don't use a trade on it. Covers ruck and forwards. He's actually covering Swan at the moment with Pavlich switched to the middle so i don't lose out too much. But the team above as is intended for the rest of the season.
