Re: Round 12 trades

Buddy and Chappy named. Much for fun for my forward line.

I'm going to swap Chappy into my mids (since Swan is out), and with Franklin in my forwards so I can put an emergency for each of them, without having two emergencies in the one line.

All it means is that I play Darling on instead of Harris.

Re: Round 12 trades

Buddys named but I wouldnt bet my house he gets a run.

We can only hope. Ladson, Renouf and Cheney named as emergencies though, so no real cover there.

Re: Round 12 trades

1) He is $278k.
2) You buy good players when they are cheap.
3) His BE is 40ish.
4) He has MPP
5) He plays for arguably the best team, so he will be part of winning sides
6) He has averaged over 100 in the last two years
7) He will play in the midfield with Swan, Beams, and co out.
8) He can't keep playing as poorly as he has been

Basically.
He hasn't shown any signs of turning it around though has he?? and he has been playing poorly for half the season so why would he turn it around now?

I'm not sure, this trade could seriously kill especially if I go away from the tradition downgrade upgrade. Anyone else think it might be a good idea lol? I'm pretty hesitant

So this is the decision I'm facing, based on help from joxstrap

Knights > didak(and pray) lower > deledio

or

Darling > Howe then Stanley > deledio

Re: Round 12 trades

I think you mean, you don't HAVE one this week. You have no midfield cover, and if you cop a late withdrawal, you'll cop a donut in the middle. Really bad at this stage in the comp. Just sayin'.

Franklins playing so I can just put Mzungu back to midfield emergency. Problem solved. :D:cool::D:thumbsu:

Re: Round 12 trades

Forward line so far is Pav, N Riewoldt, Chapman, Franklin, Goodes, Petrie and Knights

I have a massive urge to get rid of Knights, but i'm not sure who to have a go at. I don't want to double up with two players from the same club in the same position, so my options are either Brennan = no byes left or have a go at Sylvia (even though he may not come up this week.) Any better options ?

Who should I go for ?

The Didak tip is a good one from from a SC perspective. This game is about buying players at their cheapest. Of course, you need to trust they will come good. Look at Hurn/Broughton. Cheap 2 weeks ago and now scoring back to their rightful average.

Taking Didak before he scores a couple of hundreds is a risk so it depends on your position and what you are aiming for. Lots of trades and trying to make ground overall...take the risk.

If you are up the top overall...maybe you dont risk it and wait for his scores to improve.

Anyway...work it out. In some situations Didak is a great risk option (differentiator for some).

And no, i dont have him in my team but i'm trying to work him in.

I'm around the 5000 mark overall mate, in two cash leagues so they are my priority as I'm no chance overall. I've got 11 trades and 95k

Re: Round 12 trades

Change of plan slightly... maybe!

Batchelor >>> Howard

Lower >>> Deledio

Use Deledio in MID (this week). Will be missing Swan and Montagna and have 2 tough cash league games (even though Lids is only cancel out player in both). With some tweaking via MMP will give me better bench cover in DEF and MID just in case!

His scores this year are dreadful... not even one score above 100. I would only consider trading him in if I was in dire straits and needed a decent player for a sub 300k value. Some great forward line value at the moment under 450k. Didak is just damn lazy... never rated him that highly personally.

Re: Round 12 trades

Is Fisher, Dal Santo, Goddard and Riewoldt in one side viable?

Will they make the 8?

Otherwise who is the best option out of: Priddis, Thompson, Mundy.

I think he can be a sensational player and still has potential as a SC'er this year. In saying that I wouldn't be considering him at this point. As you said better options considering his form this year but if he could string 2 consecutive 100 point games together I'd be very interested.

Re: Round 12 trades

well i have $238K and not many trades left.. thats my style! :D

Thinking.. only thinking...

Lower to Enright for $35K

and... drumroll........

Swan to Ablett  for $119K

Never thought i'd trade Swan out, but no guarantee's swan will be fit when he comes back and Ablett has no byes left and can score huge.

Still have $80K left.

Thoughts..?

all three are good, while i have mundy i would prob pick scott thompson if i got to choose again. wil always be a standout in our shizen team.

i was all set, then i saw griffen is the 4th highest av ruckman and will be guarenteed a game with sandi out. whether or not it will be worth 2 trades for maybe 300k.

dunno, can griff keep it up? is it worth it? any thoughts appreciated!

Re: Round 12 trades

What I should have said was, it's a weak squad for a supercoach genuis like Spud_Magic...

... who has used 85% of his trades.

LOL :D:cool::thumbsu::eek::):thumbsu::D:cool:;):p:confused::eek:::(

Well thank you, I am a supercoach genius. 2 top 400 finishes in a row, Div 7 premiership 2 years ago and a perfect record against PK Le Spud. 3-0 it is now. ROFL! :D:thumbsu:

As for you repeatingly saying weak squad I can't see it being any weaker than some other supercoach geniuses team such as cough, cough, PK Le Spud. Heck I am even above him overall and higher than him in Bigfooty Div 1 league ladder.:thumbsu:

Terrible trades mate....

My trades:

Out: Lower, Swan
IN; Enright, Boyd

Wait what...

Re: Round 12 trades

Backs : Deledio, Shaw, Adcock, Gibbs, Heppell, Broughton, Stanley (Puopolo, Otten, Jacobs)
Mids : Swan, Thompson, Judd, Selwood, Goddard, Cross (Liberatore, Hibberd, I. Smith)
Rucks : Sandilands, Cox (Z. Smith, Bailey)
Fwds: Franklin, Goodes, N. Riewoldt, J, Riewoldt, Knights, Darling, Lynch (Mzungu, Matera, Richardson)

Ok, thinking of doing this in the next few weeks

Have $531,300 cash and 13 trades

Round 12 : Sandi > Vardy and Libba > Ablett

Round 13: rookie fwd to Chapman and rookie fwd to Pav

Round 14: Cross to Pendlebury and rookie fwd to Sylvia

7 trades and Z. Smith to Kreuzer in a few weeks may be an option too.

Thoughts?

Re: Round 12 trades

Going:
Lower > Fisher/Newman.
I now have a tough decision to make. I would love to get Pendles in the squad, but with Collingwoods bye next week it means I have to provide cover for Swan and Pendlebury.
So one of either Burgoyne > Pendlebury/Priddis/Ablett
or because Franklin has about a 0.0001% chance to play, I might upgrade my forward line, so:
Lynch > Chapman/Rok/Rioli

Leaving my team to most likely look like:

Def: Goddard,Shaw,Deledio,Gibbs,Fisher,Enright,Heppell
(Puopolo, Coad, Jacobs)
Mid: Swan,Judd,Bartel,Boyd,Mundy,Burgoyne
(Harris,Hibberd,Smith)
Ruc: Big Cox, Petrie
(Smith, Derickx)
For: Franklin, Pavlich, Goodes, Sylvia, Rioli, Darling
(Siposs, Richardson, Mzungu)

Re: Round 12 trades

My team (which is gunning for cash league glory) currently is:
DEF: Deledio, Goddard, Gibbs, Heppell, Lower, Hibberd, Puopolo / Pedersen, Toy, Gilbee
MID: Pendlebury, Ablett, Mundy, Priddis, Boyd, Swallow / Harris, Mzungu, Jacobs
RUC: Cox, Smith / Sandilands, Keeffe
FWD: Franklin, Pavlich, Fyfe, Goodes, Chapman, Petrie, N. Riewoldt / Darling, Lynch, McKernan
Salary Cap: $124,800
Trades Left: 10

I'm really not sure what to do...I know Darling, Lower & Harris are all set to slide in price and Swallow has a fairly high BE.

I'm thinking I'm going to keep Darling as my FWD bench cover and am planning to get Lower and Harris out of my team. I was thinking of downgrading Harris (Callinan?) and upgrading Toy (Newman?) but I'm wondering if maby I should do Lower->Newman with the intention to do Heppell->Fisher and Toy-Shaw later? I don't know...not really sure what to do anymore.

Just looking for some help from you guys :)

Rid yourself of Gilbee would be my first move.

Where are you overall this year, and how many trades do you have left?

From what i've seen from you so far this year those top 400 finishes seem like pure luck.
