Re: Round 12 trades

Bringingin Goodes this week. Cant decide who for though. Either Darling, Dangerfield, or Kraka?

I'm getting rid of 1 this week and then another 1 next week. Which 2 should i get ride of? The third will most likely be a keeper.

Seriously doing my head in

Dangerfield is not a keeper this year, way too inconsistent, get rid of first.

Bench cover is going to be very crucial so I'm not getting rid of Darling. Krakouer will most likely be part of my last upgrade to premium, which may be to Swan the week he's set to return. Krak's MPP is very handy, and I'm tipping a big one from him against the Dee's this week.

Re: Round 12 trades

It's not even close, you are borderline delusional :eek:

I have Heppell, J Riewoldt & Darling sitting permanently on my bench with rookie-to-rookie MPP in every single bench position. In addition most of my forward line & back line premiums are also MPP. Have the forward/ruck link too. Also have Puopolo, Hibberd, Jacobs, Mzungu & (soon to be) Z Smith all on the bench for even more cover.

Next week i'm also bringing in Harvey or Sylvia just to cover byes as a luxury trade. That will leave me with 9 trades and a heap of cows still left to play with. Overall rank is pretty good too :D

Wow you flaming goose, you go on like you have invented the wheel or something? :rolleyes:

In case you are boarderline ******ed which I think you are as you have seen my team. I have exactly the same as what you have in the part that I have highlighted in bold and I am sure many other people do too Einstein.

And as for having J.Riewoldt sitting permanently on your bench well that's just overkill. Why don't you trade Sandilands for Goldstien and just keep him on your bench for the rest of the season while your playing Smith on the ground? You may just do that I reckon which wouldn't surprise me.

I have heard the saying thick as bricks before but you my friend bring the saying into a whole new light. :eek:

Re: Round 12 trades

I currently have a ruck combo of: Cox, Sandi, Petrie, Smith.

Considering Darling > Tippett, Petrie into the forward line and then using the money to go Illes > Mundy or Priddis.

Current Midfield: Swan, Pendles, Boyd, Ablett, Hodge, Illes.

Going for league WIN and have no idea who I should get as 6th Mid.

Can Mundy and Priddis keep it going? I have 3 saints, if I get NDS, is that too many saints?

I know theres a lot of questions but any help would be great.

Cheers lads

The Petrie trades a good'n and also a popular one this week!

I've got Mundy and hes great, reliable as anything and keeps up the good scores when the team isn't up as well. I'm curious to see what Barlow coming back into the side will do to his scores but I'm pretty sure it shouldn't do too much with Barlow not being fully fit just yet. Also the multi-bye for the league win is great for Mundy.

All that being said, Priddis is a GUN!!! would pick him up if my mids weren't complete:

Pendles, M. Murphy, Mundy, Fyfe, Selwood, Ablett.

Swapping Fyfe into Fwds for Krak in r14 and getting Swan or any other player I want really because my trades will permit I think upto 500kish maybe a bit higher.

Cant decide whether o get Pav or Fisher this week and then the other next week.

Trade plan is as follows:

this week:

Lower > Fisher
or
Darling > Pav

the next week
Matera > Howe/other rookie FWD thats playing

and whoever I don't get this week

then after Collingwood's Bye

Krak > Swan/other mid (kinda set on Swan though)

Complete team after this with only 5 trades left but 5LTI's would be unlucky!!!

Best 22 would have 1 player Ave under 94 (N.Riewoldt)

Thoughts on this?

Edit: just a note, Pavs price is set to drop $13,916 and fishers set to rise $11,141 if they get their average so I don't want to lose 25k for going the wrong way, which does sway my decision to get Fisher this week...

Hi, the reason not to get Fisher this week is his upcoming bye but I think you should go that way. The reason I say this is because Fisher's BE is only 85 where as Pavlich's is 142, so Pav will likely go down in price and Fisher increase.

I'm spewing I couldn't bring Fisher in this week, I went with O'keefe/Mundy instead. O'keefe because my fwd bench is really weak compared to my backs and Mundy because his price dipped, Libba's is about to drop (probably) and I'm missing 2 of my best players from the mids this week (Swan/Boak).

Re: Round 12 trades

L. Thompson --> Howard

Harris --> Watson or Lower --> Newman/Enright

I'm leaning towards Jobe as Harris will slide again and then his trade value is basically shot.[/quote]

Thoughts?

Yeah, the Bye will dominate my backline as I've got Goddard as well but providing 2 of Hibberd, Puoplolo, B.Smith and Howard play I'll have cover and my opponent is a Saints supporter so I know he'll at least have Goddard out!

Re: Round 12 trades

Duigan is about maxed and Newman is great value but Lynch should make $50K over the next 3 weeks and TBH we dont know what Howes future is like.

I would look somewhere else to try and free up the cash required.
Cheers for the reply, the other option is to trade Toy to Howard, then Lower to Newman. With Barlow back in the team Lower might not get as much time in the middle. Here's my team if it helps.

Backs - Fisher, Dids, Shaw, God, Gibbs, Heppel, Lower (Poo, Duigan, Toy)

Mids - Pendles, Judd, Bartel, Kennedy, Hodge, Priddis (Iles, Hibberd, I. Smith)

Rucks - Cox, Smith ( Sandi, Bailey)

Forwards - Roo x 2, Chappy, Fyfe, Pav, Rioli, Darling (Mzengu, Richardson, Lynch)

$20,000 in the bank and 12 trades left.

Thoughts?

Re: Round 12 trades

Lower > Broughton

I really want to bring Didak in for Darling but I'm not convinced on him this season. Someone talk me into it or out of it.

I'd only bring him in for a non playing rookie or a very unimpressive one, and probably only if he was bring brought in primarily for cover, not to start on the ground. He's ideal for weeks you have to rearrange your team because of a bye - I'd try to do it so you can keep both.

Maybe for Matera if you can?

Prestia, Richardson, Lynch are my bench boys. I can only afford to trade him for Lynch. I've also got Higgins as a MPP but I'm going to persist with him until he breaks down again or turn him into Boyd if I can scratch the cash together. Next week's bye is no concern for Didak.

Re: Round 12 trades

Ok think it's time for help I have 16 trades left and ranked in top 2000.
There is still many holes in my team and should I fix them now and in what order?

Backs: shaw, goddard, Gibbs, heppell, lower, duigan, hibberd, Stanley, toy, retzlaff.

Mids: pendlebury, swan, selwood, Judd, s Thompson, mundy, deledio, atley, prestia.

Rucks: Cox, smith, sandi, derrikx

Forwards: Franklin, goodes, pavlich, riewoldt, Petrie, darling, yarran, mzungu, walker, Richardson.

As you can see so many holes. Who to get rid of 1st for who? I only have $1k in bank

Re: Round 12 trades

Really? Don't think he'll come good and make it into the side?
If I did that, I guess I'd be looking at...
L. Gilbee -> C. Enright
N. Lower -> C. Newman

Next Round:
D. Swallow -> I. Callinan
J. Toy -> H. Shaw

Then:
Z. Smith -> J. Tippet
D. Harris -> D. Swan

Finally:
D. Heppell -> S. Fisher

3 Trades & $84,500 left.

Sound about right? :confused:

Sorry, missed this post. Look, Gilbee may come good but his form this season as been very poor apart from 1 game against Richmond. He's not exactly lighting it up in the VFL either. I think there are a lot of better options out there at that price and really would move him.

I think you should move some of the non-playing/peaked rookies. The weakest area seems to be the backline, Toy especially. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a great deal of backline rookie options at the moment. People seem to be jumping on Howard so perhaps Toy > Howard could be a move to consider. Other than that I'd look at Howe on the weekend and make a move in your forward line next week. Maybe Prestia? That's if you want to go for getting rid of the weakest links. I've kept some duds around like Pitt in my FWD line because the 60k isn't worth the trade imo, so if that's the case then perhaps move someone you don't like who has a higher salary.

Re: Round 12 trades

I need to make some coin to fund an upgrade and am almost sold on doing something i normally wouldn't even consider.

Rucks are: Cox, Ryder (Smith, Derricks).

Been playing Smith over Ryder the past weeks and Ryder looks set to continue leaking cash...so think i'm gonna go Ryder > Rookie (probably Bailey), and just back Smith in for the year.

Bad move?

Re: Round 12 trades

I pulled the trigger on Swan... sick of him

Lower > Broughton
Swan > Priddis

Take my advice with a grain of salt but I'm unsure if Smith will last the year posting scores like he is at the moment. Enough trades to upgrade later on? Personally I'd downgrade Ryder but look to upgrade later on!

Can't make my mind up so need some advice.

Backline: Deledio, Shaw, Goddard, Gibbs, Enright, Heppell, Lower
emr: Thompson, Toy, Otten

Forwards: Pav, Franklin, ROK, Goodes, N.Reiwoldt, Krak, Darling
emr: Matera, Richardson, Mzungu.

Given that which trading scenario would be best -
Lower > Fisher + 61k
Darling > Rioli + 42k

Really unsure which way to go, would love to do both but fall short obviously.

Thoughts?

I would do Lower > Fisher myself, just think Fisher is capable of scoring higher.

My question should i go Duigan or Otten > Howard this week

Re: Round 12 trades

Matera and Darling > Howe and...who?

My forward line currently is:

Fyfe, Franklin, Goodes, Sylvia, Chapman, Darling, Yarran, Lynch, Matera, Pitt.

Can trade out Pitt over Matera but then can't get anyone over roughly $465k, so no Johnson/Roughead etc.

Anyone?

Pavlich. Close eyes and ignore BE and it never happened
