We've recently got rid of four gingers. Lynch, Dal Santo, Big Boy and Goddard. I don't think the Pelican is a fan.

I'm also in the McCartin over Wright camp. I just don't think we need a 203cm ruck/forward and on top of that his back issues scare the hell out of me. On the other hand we do need a tough hard leading marking forward and McCartin seems to fit the bill.
Either way I'll back our recruiters to get it right, but this is probably the most important draft choice we will make for the next 10 years. We can't afford to screw it up.

The problem with trading with the Bombers right now, is trade for what? Their best players are all druggies who will probably get suspended. They won't have many picks because of further punishments.

Yeah, I'm just not feeling it at anything under 195cm (yes, yes, Barrels...). Yes, Roo is RECORDED as the same height, but he is probably much taller than that, and is a very unusual player who has played in a very different era for most of his career.

Exactly right, and McCartin is a very combative forward like Jack Darling, only a little taller.

a) The AFL have already punished them by taking their draft picks.
b) If the team is not to be completely shut down , then they will need a way to replenish their list.
Anyway , we'll know before trade time.
Ross for a late first rounder sounds OK to me.

With the picks thing - is there any chance ASADA will take more, or is that outside of their modus operandi?
Because if not, you're right, they'd be desperate. I still think that, when push comes to shove, they'd love to have Jobe's cousin and a father-son who's doing well in the VFL on their list. Chuck Ross and Dunell together for an early second round pick, maybe?

Ross would be worth a pick between 30-40 IMO.
Dunell isn't worth anything. Perhaps a pick we wouldn't use/use to upgrade a rookie.
I'd much prefer to hold onto Ross unless he was involved in a trade with Carlisle or similar.
I'll be surprised if Dunell isn't delisted at the end of the year.
