I reckon Melbourne would take Wright ahead of Lamb, and the Pups would take Goddard ahead of him too...

I'd be pretty happy with Durdin in the end, but geez I hope McCartin gets to us; I don't see Durdin developing into a beast KPF. If not, then maybe Schache or Weidman next year...
We still need a gun CHB Unc...take best available.

If Lamb is going to go that high, would we take him? If he's going ahead of Wright on that list now, he must be putting in some stirling performances. Or is the tool factor just too high?

I don't think you pick a medium-tall project player with a top 3 pick. I think we will have our eye on one of McCartin, Wright, Durdin or Goddard. I favour the more immediate impact players. McCartin for me.

No; Tool factor isn't low by all accounts, but more importantly he's not what we need. Remember we have Siposs and the highly-rated Markworth as mid-sized forwards, and Lee is really a tall 3rd forward too.

We need a genuine full forward.

I should've said that is Plough's opinion only....

Durdin reminds me of Jarred Grant from the Dogs. No thanks.

Don't disagree, but if I had the choice between Durdin/Goddard or Wright/McCartin I know whose name(s) I'd be calling...

I can actually see Durdin playing an Adam Hunter type swingman role in the future. He'd be able to shut down an opposition KPF, and when we need a couple of key marks or contests inside 50 or goals for that matter, we can swing him forward to snare a couple of quick goals. For me, it is probably McCartin and Durdin would be 1 and 2, in terms of who I want. McCartin probably makes more sense from our list point of view, as the forwards we have are all running types, not the gorilla type.

I'd ideally like McCartin to grow another inch, but honestly I'm just super keen on seeing a bit of this in a Saints guernsey...

Got a genuine 'forward's arse'...

from what ive read from people with connections inside football. theyve all said what ST has said...so it doesnt surprise me ST has relayed this. the confidence in what they are say is pretty high too. i think it just shows the mentality of people in football. they just dont seem to grasp the situation essendon and the players are in.

This!

If everything is above board and the world authority is the ultimate adjudicator, I don't know how the AFL would be able to guarantee there would be no player suspensions. Can't see how they could do it now; certainly not back in 2013.

BURNNNNNNNNN.

Also, I'll be down at the Vic Metro v Vic Country game on this Sunday, hopefully get to see Wright, McCartin, Goddard, Lamb etc in action.

Haven't they already played each other?

Game has been moved:

@AFLDraft: This Sunday's game between Vic Metro and Vic Country will now be played at Simonds Stadium in Geelong. The start time remains at 11am.

Weeeelllll, there goes that plan...

hey Rahul whats the go with burton from SA? people are saying he's looking likely as a round 1 selection next year
He's a likely top 10 selection at this stage, I believe he has had some senior experience in the SANFL and has been great at Champs, but he isn't a KPF, more of a medium forward.
