Rhys is never going to be a star, the best we or Geelong or whoever could hope is for him to become a consistent solid player.
I certainly don't see him leaving a huge hole or being irreplaceable, whether we draft Two Meter Peter or not. I have great faith that Hickey & Longer will develop into ruckmen that can go forward when needed. Billy did it throughout his junior career...IMO he just needs to get physically stronger to start clunking marks.
As someone mentioned before, adding Membrey & having Bruce as a quality fwd/back swingman gives Richo the flexibility needed. We all have great hope that Spencer will make CHF his own next season, so he needs to play there & fast track his experience ASAP. If we trade down to 4 & take either Peter or Paddy then they need to be factored into the equation as well.
Rhys looks like the odd man out. If we can get #14 from the Cats (even by throwing in something else) then it's one of the calculated risks that need to be taken.
